I find it interesting that this posted at all, as when I was there starting part-time to consider full-time, supposedly my acct was "terminated" without notice. Now they suddenly have work? I don't know....kind of puts the gut on alert IMO. Just my 2 cents.

Does Landmark ever advertise jobs on any of the other MT sites? If not, don't you find this interesting? And why are they now only hiring full time?

Notice the different working platforms for this account. I thought they were big users of BayScribe, and one reason was because BayScribe work could be converted or integrated with any hospital platform.

I've been with Landmark for quite a while and have always had work, more than enough to keep me busy full-time. I guess I don't understand your post. MTSOs lose accounts all the time, and then they get more, and life as an MT goes on.....

I guess it depends on the account then, because I am constantly out of work on all of my accounts.

True but I was told there were no more accts to train on, yet when I was hired, was told they had not decided which acct to put me on yet....kind of a play on words, I thought.

I understand a lot of the accounts are overflow only. I liked LM but had to leave because my primary was overflow only and rarely had a full day's worth of lines and my backup account had the most horrid audio from being re-recorded so many times that hearing aids would have been in my near future had I tried to stay on it (yes, I did complain numerous times about the audio but it fell on deaf ears...haha, pun intended :-)).

Seriously, though, perhaps your primary is an overflow only account.

How about this - not only do I get enough work every day but I get E-mailed all weekend about my account going out of TAT and can I help?! I do work 1 weekend day but then get asked for Sunday and Monday, my days off. I asked for a slight raised in my line count amout and never got a response - doesn't make me want to do any extra! I like this company because they leave you alone to let you work and my account is not VR but I almost wish they would terminate my account and/or me.

Complain when there is work. Complain when there is no work. LOL. You can always say no to working extra. I get my lines in, do what I can and then don't worry about it. It's a nice problem to have for a change though isn't it, having too much work?

I was not trying to start anything. I just think that if any MTSO wants us to work over and above they should pay us what we are worth. By the way, my complaint is more that I asked to be compensated for all that work and did not get a response - they could have at least e-mailed me and said no.

I worked for them part-time. QA never had made any complaints. They locked me out of Bayscribe and told me they didn't have another account to train me on. Two days later I saw an ad on here for a full-time person on the same account. They over-hire and then let you go by locking you out of the system. I've talked to several people that they've done this to. If your gut is telling you something is fishy, trust it and look elsewhere!

and 3 cents for VR? Unbelievable! That equates to about 5 cents and 2 cents per line respectively after taxes, and they require a second or third shift schedule. Are they serious? I guess some MTs are content to work for little more than minimum wage. Too bad! ...

Hey, I thought the moderator "unposted" the jobs that were posted here if they paid less than 4 cents a line. I wonder whatever happened to that? It seems like I read that somewhere, anyhow. At 3 cents a line, TTD is beginning to bump up against the states' minimum wages. The only way that I see that they will be able to get around that is by saying they will hire independent contractors only, and I don't think we are all so stupid as to take 3 ...

Was hired by this company for a large hospital new account. Owner said she was excited about hiring 40 MTs. There has never been more than a few jobs per day. It is definitely overflor and there is not a lot of that. Not enough work for even part time. Very vague about any further work. Am very disappointed. Owner does not have a grip on reality. ...

I think I may have made a HUGE error. After not reading and researching enough on site here I sent Landmark Transcription my resume. It wasn't until it was sent I discovered some of the messages from last year saying they are always out of work !! Just what I or any of us would need - sign on with a company who has no work. I left Soft Script because of that. Good grief, I wish I had seen all the feedback earlier. Live and learn I guess. ...

Anyone else get an e-mail this morning that as of April 1, they have lost a big acct. and we will have no work ? Was basically told we could be put on a waiting list for other upcoming accounts, other platform. Landmark has been great for the most part until this recent notification of changes in our pay periods back to bimonthly. Is anyone else just a little upset that we only get one week's pay for the first check of Dec. instead of usual 2? We still only get the same check end of month for 1-15th. Some of us have bills & will only get half the check. I was told that no one else was too bothered by this. Guess I'm the only one who actually works for my payc ...

Hi, all- I am a transcriptionist (employee) at our local hospital and we were all recently told that Landmark was taking over our transcription department.
