I have worked for this company for three years and have been very happy. It is a mid-sized company, does not offshore, is owned/managed by very honest and decent people, and has the best QA I have ever seen. I have learned more since coming to LM than anywhere else, and I have been in MT for many, many years. My pay is always on time and accurate to the penny. They expect a high degree of accuracy and I like that in a company. They are one of a few companies left that actually takes pride in their work. They are fair and honest in their dealings with MTs. I have recommended the company to several friends, and they all seem to be pleased as well. Give it a try!

One of the worst companies for lack of work. Many of their accounts are overflow and not full service. Some of their accounts would have work so sporadically that you would not get that account for weeks. Many of their accounts are shared by other services, as they are not the primary service/contract. Not a place to work if you need a steady income.

Audio is suboptimal on a few accounts too - ExLMer

I had one that the audio was nearly undetectable. Literally had to jack up all volume controls and turn off TV, not run dishwasher, etc., just to BARELY hear the dictator. After 6 hours I'd have a massive headache from straining to hear. I kept asking if anything could be done but never got any response.

I left due to lack of work on my primary account and the incredibly horrid audio quality on my backup.

Worked there about two weeks. Everything and I mean everything was sent to QA, forever. They told me that is just the way they were set up. To me that seems like a lot of wasted time. Why hire MTs at all if everything is sent to QA. Don't they have confidence in their employees? If they are so perfect, let them do all the work. I mean why bother to look anything up, it was going to QA, so let them look it up.

They have the ability to shut out work and give to others. Think they overhired on purpose so they could some people work and others none until they find out they want to keep and do not care about others. A person starve through this process. No account needs 40 MTs.

Please remember for the billionth time that there are 2 companies out there with the same name - one in California, I believe, and other in Philly, PA area. They are POLAR OPPOSITES. The one on the West Coast is the wonderful one, and the one on the East Coast is the terrible one - never enough work, horrible slop accounts which are the garbage refused by other companies, not paid for spaces, etc. You have to identify which one you are talking about to get the correct response! I think I may have made a HUGE error. After not reading and researching enough on site here I sent Landmark Transcription my resume. It wasn't until it was sent I discovered some of the messages from last year saying they are always out of work !! Just what I or any of us would need - sign on with a company who has no work. Landmark has been great for the most part until this recent notification of changes in our pay periods back to bimonthly. Is anyone else just a little upset that we only get one week's pay for the first check of Dec. instead of usual 2? We still only get the same check end of month for 1-15th.
