Transolutions and Keystrokes - Anne

Posted: May 18, 2011

I have heard negatives about both, but every single company seems to have a negative and I am coming from a very negative company. Can I hear some recent news on these two? I have to decide.

I think Transolutions was sold recently. - I applied about 3 months ago but did not like recr

That's good to know. I almost applied there recently. - Gotta keep on looking, I guess. nm

Benefits good - Anne

The benefits are good, pay is based on production, which isn't a bad formula, mostly VR. The recruiter I spoke with was very sweet. They were bought out by Accentus, a Canadian company, a few months ago.

You'll starve w/ Keystrokes - KSMT4

Keystrokes accounts are overstaffed. You will starve working for them.
Overstaffed? We're drowning in the radiology department. sm - Too Much Work

I have 3 accounts that I have access to and every one of them is begging for OT.

My sister also works for Keystrokes in Medical Records, and she said that they have over 2000 jobs backlog right now and barely staying in TAT.

I also know they are getting another really big health system. My other sister works there in computers and just told me that they decided to go with Keystrokes.

I think the same person is posing as different ones becasue he/she keeps saying "overstaffed" and "you'll starve working for them".

Personally, I hope they hire good people who can help keep up, not some that do nothing but complain. If you're starving at Keystrokes, you need to call either KB or BB to help you because the accounts I am on could use the help.

Transolutions? - Anne

Soooooo....Transolutions?

Don't listen to the nay-sayers on this board. Keystrokes is an excellent company. - Long-Time KS MT

Keystrokes has over 500 employees, and many of us have been there over 5 and 10 years. You only see a sampling of the employees and ex-employees on this board for any company. Most of those that post will be the ones that have an ax to grind, whether they were terminated, quit or are currently on bad terms. If someone comes here to vent and then continues to do so, even after they are given the advice on what to do to fix it, the problem probably lies within their own personality. You will see this for most of the big companies for the simple reason that they are big and have a bigger group of people who have left (or should) just by the numbers.

I have been with KS through ups and downs, but I have always made good money, have always been paid and on time all but a few times with a delay of no more than a day or two (literally 4 times in 9 years). I have been on 3 accounts during that time and have 2 that I have access to and have been trained on but do not have time to transcribe on because my primary account is very busy. They do not overstaff; in fact, the general consensus right now is that they understaff, which is why so many accounts are on overtime. How do I know this? Because I have been there a long time and have my own network of co-workers from the accounts I have been on. I also keep in touch with others who have left, and many have regretted leaving and came back.

I have benefits including the health insurance which is too high, but that they can't control that. That's the price of insurance these days. Even my husband's company's insurance is outrageous now, and he works for a Fortune 500 company.

Is Keystrokes perfect? No, but they have come a long way compared to most other companies that I know of.

I would rather work for a company that has always had steady growth and continues to grow, that keeps all work in the U.S.A and has a management team that really cares than one that sends work to India or the Phillipines, pays slave wages or looks for ways to cheat their employees. They're a good company, and listening to the ugly posts could cost you an opportunity to be with a good company. You need to make the decision for yourself based on facts, not the same person posting the same thing over and over again. She or he may be without work and screaming that the accounts are overstaffed, but you don't know her/his history either. It could be that she/he has bounced from account to account, complains about everything, doesn't work when scheduled, has low QA scores, is a PITA to her/his lead and the staff in the office, etc. Maybe this person or a few of them wouldn't be happy anywhere. Personally, I wonder why someone so unhappy would stay with a company that they obviously despise. I sure would not, but maybe that's how some people just live. We all know people, friends and family, who thrive on drama and always seem so unhappy with life. They probably feel the same way about their jobs but also do nothing to change their situation.

Sorry for the long post, but I have been holding this in for a long while. Now off to start my shift.

Job Offer From Transolutions
Jun 09, 2010

I have a job offer from Transolutions, but I have a couple of questions.   I use Instant Text and I need to know if their platform is compatible with it.  This would definitely be a dealbreaker for me.   The opinions of the company I read on this board were not very favorable -- slow speech rec program,  too much speech rec, etc.  But all the opinions were at least 2 years old.  Is there any more current information out there?   The pay scale is very enticing, but if the ...

Transolutions Few Positions Available
Jun 02, 2011

When I spoke with the recruiter, it sounded like there were just a few positions available. Yet, another recruiting ad showed up on Tuesday evening at another major MT recruiting website. So, I'm wondering, is the recruiter using the old trick of sounding like I'd better jump and grab one of those "few" positions, or did a bunch of people who were already hired suddenly quit? I wonder why Transolutions has had so many recruiting ads lately. Again, I was told that there were only ...

ACCENTUS/TRANSOLUTIONS
Mar 20, 2012

Medical Transcription just keeps going downhill.  They expect more and pay less.  I work for Accentus now and actually love my account and got my pay up to 5 cents for SR and 9 cents for transcription, but I have to work 10 hours a day just to make ends meet.  They pay based on how many lines you type per hour so it can change every pay period.  It's better than what I had at Transcend.  The only thing is that my supervisor is a narcissist, very mean, tears you down ...

How Are Things At Transolutions These Days?
Oct 12, 2010

Anyone care to shed some light on how things are at Transolutions these days? Is there plenty of work? Thinking about this company and would love to hear current input from employees. I have read the archives and saw that QA can be tough and M-Modal isn't the greatest software. I am working on M-Modal where I am now and it's not my favorite, but Transolutions at least pays more and I am hoping that they have more work than where I am now. ...

Hi, I'm looking at Transolutions and haven't seen a lot of current info on the boards about them. Wondering about the quality of the SR and editing. Transolutions==>AWESOME EXPERIENCE SO FAR!!!
Jul 29, 2011

I started training with Transolutions this week and, lemme tell ya, it has been an absolutely AWESOME EXPERIENCE SO FAR!!!  The training was very well-organized and, once we were sent off "on our own" during the training course to do live transcription, the peeps there were SUPER HELPFUL with answering any and all questions that I had.  The feedback process is second-do-none and I really do get the impression that nobody really feels bothered when you ask them for direction and/or clar ...
