TransformMT based in/started out of Cody, Wyoming? - questions

Posted: Apr 22, 2012

Thought I already posted my questions, but seems to have disappeared. Anyone work for transformmt, based in/started out of Cody, Wyoming? Anyone work here?  Are their categories of bonues worth it. Read a recent post where someone claimed to be making 7.4 cpl, but person did not say how many lines they were producing a day, how many days a week they worked, or how many hours. What about their mentor program? It that just a thug who calls you to try and convince you to change your timesheet so it looks like you make minimum wage? Do the QAs get paid hourly?  Who are they?  Were they promoted from within?  And the managers?  Are they MTs who were promoted? Any info would be helpful.

I am very happy at TransformMT.

my experience - i was hired for radiology 1.5 years ago - it was for straight typing then, then moved to M-modal. Point blank - the manager is horrid and inconsiderate, rude and very child-like. I was hired as a full-time employee, soon I changed that to IC as you get a penny per line and i needed to get as much money per line as I could because of lack of work. I asked innumerable times to be trained on other accounts due to lack of work and the manager promised me each time that she would but never did. There was also a problem with her - her mother, her kids, her being too busy - so I would get on whenever it was convenient for me and do whatever there was - I went from making a couple of hundred dollars a pay period to about seven dollars. I stopped going on about two months ago and never heard a word from her (i never did give a notice - gave her the same rude treatment she gave me). My last couple of paychecks were paid at over 7 cpl as I had a 100% q.a. score plus IC status. Luckily I had other jobs where I could make the bulk of my pay. I wouldn't take a job in radiology - they are definitely overstaffed and I am pretty sure they only have this one manager - I don't even know how she got the job or has kept the job for as long as she has. The mentor program was awesome - very informative - I am taking away good knowledge of M-modal which I will be using shortly on one of my other jobs. Hope this helps.

You should take a look at yourself and why you weren't trained on other accounts. How you got 100% on your audit is unknown to us. We know who you are and we weren't sad when you left. The numerous corrections we had to do on reports that you submitted and the apologies we had to send along with those. We work as at-home transcriptionists for the flexibility it allows us to take care of our families. An excuse, perhaps, but you were not ready to be trained. You were not contacted because you are not missed. Good luck on your future endeavors.

unsolicited advice - questions

Two concerns, and I say this lovingly. Stop working 12 hour days. It's not healthy. And stop smoking!!!

Question - Raising hand - sm

I want to know how these companies get around the lines produced with no MTs working those hours because they're doctoring time sheets to skirt federal labor law requirements? Isn't there such a thing as an audit that can be done?

Pay scale - blondie

[ In Reply To ..]
So they pay a range of 6-7.4 cpl for editing? Is that correct? And is it that pay rate whether it is straight typing or editing, and it just averages out or something? Kind of confused how they pay.

No - they pay

[ In Reply To ..]
They pay 4 cpl for editing and 6 cpl for transcribing. They have some kind of bonus system (several categories), so your pay can raise based on those.
Slight correction to your info - Used to be Transform
[ In Reply To ..]
They pay 4 cpl for editing and 8 cpl for transcribing. The 6 cpl comes into play when it's a document that has gone through the draft engine and for some reason is not "draftable" and you have to type from scratch. You start that at 6 cpl and then some of the bonus factors come into play again so it bumps it up.

When I worked for them last year they did still have some accounts that were straight transcription that paid 8 cpl.

Transform MT - Used to be one of them

I worked there for a while last year. Mostly okay. I don't know how QA was/is paid, but I never had any issues with them and they were all pretty consistent across the board. Nice group of people, actually. I'm pretty sure they tried to hire from within when they could, but that was just a sense I got and have no direct information about that.

My big issue, though, was that yes, you do have to adjust your time sheet to read no less than 200 lph. I figured what the heck, if I'm adjusting my time anyway, I'm not going to worry about if I'm taking a break or not, and then I got an e mail from my team lead saying I was doing less than 150 lph and what could they do to help me. Huh. I'm not sure why they cared since they wanted me to lie on the time sheet anyway.

That was my only rub and I had a part time job that suddenly had hours open for FT which paid more, so I left.

It wasn't a bad place to work and their pay scale is like no other in the industry and you do have a chance to make good money. I was in the 5 cpl editing range and working higher.

I question your motives for most of your questions but can tell you they are honest, up-front, above-board. I've been here for years and never met a "thug" (did you honestly say that?).

Their mentor is fantastic.

They want the MT to succeed and I'm grateful for that because we do, succeed that is.

Which TRANSFORM??????????? - SM

[ In Reply To ..]
There's a TransformMT Nevada with a website, but can't find ANY website for Transform on the one in Cody, WY.

their website - anon.

[ In Reply To ..]
their website is transformmt.com Don't know anything about Nevada, but that is definitely their website. They have some relationship with MD-IT as well, you might see both names.

Working 12 hour days and producing 2500 lines...hmmm... have to think if that's worth it, would my head explode, my arms fall off? And days there are no work?

I would call someone who tries to make my time sheet look like I was just working 40 hours a thug. They do it to protect themselves (someway, somehow) from DOL?

12 hour days 5 days a week means 20 hours of that should be overtime. I just don't even know what to say anymore.

No wonder we are paid so poorly, because we accept it and everything else as some "industry standard" that they set up in their favor.

I was just looking for information.

Ah...I see...thanks for clarifying...and agreed! - nm

TranformMT really isn't Transform - Mountain MT

[ In Reply To ..]
Their ads are grossly misleading. They are really MD-Network and are the second worst company I've worked for. They bought out TransformMT a while back and know that MD-Network has a bad reputation for how they treat people, so they are "hiding" behind the Transform name to try to get people to come to work for them. It is only after you are working for them that you realize you have been duped. Absolutely awful company... worst than Medquist was even in the old days. Almost as bad as Keystrokes (that was my worst job ever).

TransformMT/Command Health
Jan 07, 2013

I have read some of the comments on this company, but they are about 9 months old, so I am looking for more current information. I am so tired of having to jump from company to company because so many of them lie in their company information. Here are some of my questions: Does TransformMT have enough work? What do they call a line? Count headers/footers, etc.? What is their usual starting pay (by the way MTs, I cannot believe how these companies are getting away with paying us so little... ...

Frustrated With The BOS 3rd Edition Being Web-based!

The pdf electronic version of BOS-2 was so handy and easy to use.  Wonder what made them decide to do away with that & make it to where you have to open a browser, find the link, sign in, find the BOS page, etc., for the 3rd edition.  It's so much more time-consuming, not to mention the search feature doesn't work nearly as well as the BOS-2 pdf version.  For the first time ever, I can't wait for the 4th edition because surely nobody likes this & they will g ...

Is Focus Infomatics Really US-based Now?
Jan 29, 2010

A former manager of mine from "brand X MTSO" (in reality, a very dear friend now) got thrown under the bus.  She knows how "QBay" does.  She is considering an MT or QA job for Focus Infomatics.  Focus claims to not offshore, and has offered my friend 8 cpl.  That sounds terribly lame wage wise for all that experience. When I couldn't drink the MQ Kool-Aid anymore, I was making a whopping 9 cpl.  Of course, try doing the math on that formula come payday.   Jus ...

Mediscribes Based In Louisville? Right ;)
Feb 27, 2014

There may be one staff member in Louisville, but it's Indian owned.  Dig a little deeper. That's your first red flag.  Your second red flag is the knowledge that last summer, once the US labor passed QA for Mediscribes, they immediately switched to their own Indian labor immediately afterwards, admitting freely that US labor on the account had done nothing wrong, QA wise or productivity wise.  None of the 22 US laborers were given new ...
