Is Focus Infomatics really US-based now? - choked on MQ Kool-Aid

A former manager of mine from "brand X MTSO" (in reality, a very dear friend now) got thrown under the bus. She knows how "QBay" does. She is considering an MT or QA job for Focus Infomatics. Focus claims to not offshore, and has offered my friend 8 cpl. That sounds terribly lame wage wise for all that experience.
When I couldn't drink the MQ Kool-Aid anymore, I was making a whopping 9 cpl. Of course, try doing the math on that formula come payday.
Just checking to see if anyone as of now is keeping their work completely US-based.
To date, per my general "snooping," Windstream is completely US-based. Maybe Windstream should look into adding an MTSO. That's why I have stayed a Windstream phone customer. Of course, I don't throw local small businesses under the bus. At this point, I prefer to work as an IC, regardless of industry. Even at 9 cpl, that quickly dwindles down to more work to earn it than what is ever deposited.

[ In Reply To ..]Focus does have an operation in India, however, it has been my experience since starting working there that the two sides of the coin for the most part operate independently of each other. The US team and the India team don't really interact. All of my supervisors are US based, and now they have US based tech support as well. They do have a program where some accounts are done overseas on the overnight swing, but if the client doesn't want the work going, then it doesn't go and stays on US soil. At least, that has been my experience with the company thus far. I have been here about a year now.

I received an e-mail today from a recruiter at Focus Infomatics. I applied there last year and didn't meet their experience criteria but the e-mail asked me to send them an updated resume to see if I do now (and I do). Focus Infomatics - Anything About Their Platform?

I looked through the archives but couldn't find anything about their platform. I did speak with their recruiter and YOU HAVE to have a 32-bit operating system, XP or Vista, and Windows 7 is not compatible. Hi. I have a question about pay at Focus that hopefully someone can answer. Transcription is paid at 8 cents per line and editing at 3 or 4 cents a line. Frustrated With The BOS 3rd Edition Being Web-based!

The pdf electronic version of BOS-2 was so handy and easy to use. Wonder what made them decide to do away with that & make it to where you have to open a browser, find the link, sign in, find the BOS page, etc., for the 3rd edition. It's so much more time-consuming, not to mention the search feature doesn't work nearly as well as the BOS-2 pdf version.
