Oncology Account at TTS - sm

Posted: Apr 15, 2015

Just wondering if there are any MTs out there who are working on this account for TTS.  Are you doing okay with production?  How are the dictators?  Interested in anything you care to share.  Please don't start the general TTS bashing/defending on this thread.  I am only interested in answers to my questions above and information about the account from MTs working on it.  Thanks in advance.

What I think - sm

I think it is pretty good, particularly if you did it before when it was with other company (helps a bit with familiarity). Dictators are fair to good, for the most part. There are some occasional dogs. The account specs are better with TTS. The pay is less. The LPH is obtainable and not bad once you settle in. $12-$16 if you apply yourself. I have had no problems with TTS yet, but am wary with many of the warnings on here.

Why would people dislike your message for asking? For that matter, why like it and not answer?

If it's the big one in Texas it's all eventually going to EMR so the ride won't last - nm

EDIT:

I don't think this is any more likely than all jobs going away do to electronic medical record and Epic sorts of systems.
Big One in Texas - anonTTS

I was just changed from my nice northeast account to this mess because of lack of work on that one. Well, I am finding it very very difficult. The account instructions are 100% different on this account than the other one, so that is challenging. I am not that familiar with oncology drugs, so I am having to look all of them up. I find there are more than a few not so great dictators on here also. Pay is ridiculous, but no worse than the other accounts. I worked for 3 hours over the weekend and made about 12 bucks!! Not doing too much better today. JUST SHOOT ME!!!!!!! is how I feel.
Similar start with TTS - Joan

The specs are 100% different. It makes sense that they require verbatim since the SR is supposed to be trained, but just watch how long it takes to train it how to spell Texas. I waited a year for that to happen. It is hard to sign off a report filled with grammar errors. The the heavy handed is 95% things the client would never recognize as an error. They do have a high level of bad dictators, but I don't think it is more than other services. I'm sure the job will last as long as it takes SR to learn the word Texas which may be another year.

Production is difficult due to bad dictators. You can count on maybe one day a week where you have decent enough dictators to make production.

Other big problem is that they pay 25% less than the previous service who had the account paid.
Low work in Northeast? sm - Anon
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm on an account in the mid Atlantic states, and they have been swamped both yesterday and today. Maybe you could see if they could train you on it instead of the oncology account. It usually has pretty steady work most of the time and is a decent account dictator-wise and line-wise. It's in Delaware.

I'll be leaving them soon, so there will be more work for everybody. You can have my "man" if you want. I've found a richer, better looking one.

It works and is very helpful. Thank you for posting it.
I'll put this out there, just in case - probably everybody knows
[ In Reply To ..]
If you can type something close, then right click on it in your document, and click on "look up" there is a box comes up to the right. It goes directly to Internet and looks things up. I find it very helpful.

Like I said, everybody probably knows this, but thought I'd offer just in case not.
I edited that account for a year (sm) - Joan
[ In Reply To ..]
with the previous service that had it. The SR never seemed to learn anything. There were very few dictators who didn't need a lot of editing so this could last people quite a while... forever if the client gets smart about SR.

Thanks everyone for your replies - nm

I started on that account - four weeks ago

[ In Reply To ..]
It is in TX as you thought, on the eScription team. Once I learned the platform I find that my line counts are much higher with TTS, but I did know the docs as I was with Imedx prior It is a good account with a lot of work. I made good money before and I am making good money now, I hope that helps you.

Thanks for the information - very much appreciated - nm

How much does TTS pay for IC on eScription? - eScriptionist

Just wondering whether to apply for the Oncology account. I used to type that account a loooonnnnngggg time ago back in the early days when it was with another company that isn't around anymore. That was when it was first on a digital platform. I am a very experienced MT with my Expert Certification in EditScript and wondering how much they pay at TTS if you're not an employee.

Thanks for any insight.
Quoted 4.5 CPL IC editing, 3.5 employee, turned out to be 3.2 editing. - Jennifer

I got emails twice stating they misquoted the line rate and asked to sign a new offer, reducing it down to 3.2 CPL.

ONCOLOGY ACCOUNT TTS - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
This account is VERY DIFFICULT as they are extremely picky! And the dictators are AWFUL, almost all of them are ESL and if you are on this account you'd better know your hematology oncology, because this is a very technical account with all the new studies, and also all the latest in chemo and immunosuppressive therapies.

If you know you stuff for this worktype, you can make some money, but if you have no hem/onc experience or only office experience, it'sll be a while before you make any money because you'll be constantly looking up drugs.

List: Chemo drugs released 2012 - 2015 - Linda

[ In Reply To ..]
I created this list from the FDA web page of all oncology drugs released from 2012 on (pasted below). You can paste this into Word and run your spellchecker. The really common __inibs and ___mabs I added short forms in IT. I have 20 years hem/onc experience, but had been off onc for a few years, also could only afford a 2011 speller, so adding these was a big help.

TTS does have some good links. Make sure you save the one for new clinical trials. It helps to keep Google open while working for quick access until you get used to the hem/oncology.

Hope this helps. (List below)
