Keystrokes Oncology Account - MT2

Has anyone been notified this week that the oncology account at Keystrokes will no longer have any work because the physicians on that account will now be doing their own transcription using Dragon?

Yes, I'm saying I've been told that Keystrokes only has one Medical Oncology account which the physicians will now be using Dragon instead of MTs. I know they have radiation oncology accounts as well, but I'm talking about the large Medical oncology account they had. If anyone has worked on this medical oncology account do you still have work?

The volume is so low, VR will now understand anything but an occasional sneeze or cough.

If this is the one I am thinking of that is in a state known for Kid Rock and cars..that is a snowbird account- volume always drops from November to May. KS may get notice if this is leaving but will not tell you probably until closer to its demise. I hope you can get information on this sooner than later! GL to you! :)

Another service is setting it up right now and hiring for it. Guess they'd rather save face and blame it on Dragon but that's not the case.

The transcriptionists affected have been told and are moving to other accounts. This is not Keystrokes' only oncology account.

They are going to Dragon in stages, not all at once. Only that account.

I know some people on that particular oncology account for Keystrokes have been told that that was KS only Medical Oncology account. They have Radiation Oncology accounts as well, but some are being told this was the only Medical oncology one. Don't know if that is really true or not!

Just curious how the new oncology account is going at Transtech that started this past week or so. I worked on this account for the previous service and cannot imagine the work being done with voice rec. This large facility was loaded with terrible dictators, highly specialized terminology, and individual physicians with their own preferred specifications, let alone the account had detailed and constantly changing specs. ...

Our hospital does not accept abbreviations for oncology medications. So, for R-CHOP we have to type - R = Rituximab C = Cyclophosphamide H = Doxorubicin Hydrochloride (Hydroxydaunomycin) O = Vincristine Sulfate (Oncovin) P = Prednisone Not in a format like that, but I didn't want to type them all out.
