A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
Anything recent on them?
I have never worked for them, but their website makes me wonder how long they will be around. They seem to have a problem with proofing.
Yes, I am being nitpicky – I guess it is my passive-aggressive way of getting back at QA when they send reports back to me. I just have to wonder how a company that prides itself on “accuracy” can miss 7 blatant typos on their website in the “Meet the Team” section. Makes me wonder how long they keep their clients if no one bothered to proof their website. If someone made the below errors on their Resume, do you think anyone would even consider offering them a job? If potential clients see their website, they will have a hard time getting new work, which means the transcriptionists working for them will not have work.
I think in the long-term – I want to be able to have plenty of work for years, not months or weeks.
They may be a great place to work if it is a second or third job, but I would have to think hard about making them my only source of income.
Just my opinion, of course.
The typos I found:
San Diego State Univesity
article published in the "Journal of Aseshthesiology"
speicialization in Linguistics
with their threee children
has a Bachelor of Music in Piano Perfomance and Pedogogy

Wow. I honestly always thought it was an urban myth that “suits” (management, recruiters, owners) hung out on this Board. After all, they are too busy to bother with us lowly Medical Transcriptionists, and our ranting and raving. Now there is no denying it. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that “suits” come here to read about their companies. It actually warms my heart that you took the time to not only read my post, but to actually go in and fix the typos on your website. Kudos to you for working for a company that is proactive when mistakes are pointed out.
So, now that you know I can proofread, how about offering me a job? By simply sending you a resume, I am just one of hundreds. However, having you see my excellent skills firsthand, I believe, gives me a leg-up on the rest of the resume senders.
I am more than willing to take any transcription test you feel appropriate, in addition to any other testing you deem necessary.
Please contact me by Email with your requirements.
I look forward to hearing from you.
