For those who are DMT's at ScribeRight, do you think there will be more work after this project ends? I am wondering if I should be planning for no more work in a few months and if I should take on another job.

I have wondered the same thing myself - And have applied a few place

Has anyone heard any rumors about what is going to happen after this wave? I am worried about being left short of money for the holidays. This worry about the up and down of the workload is not what I wanted when I signed on for this job......

I think if I were you guys I would get out of that. It just does not sound dependable at all, like they are just using you up at their convenience.

I was wondering what was going on too, especially now that we are on the third "project manager" - there's got to be some reason we have lost A, J and are now on J. I would bet money they push, push, push us like last wave and then lay off again. Probably why they can't give us more details until after this wave is done.

It makes me nervous that management seems to be - in such upheaval...SM

Usually, in most places, management is more stable than the worker bees.....at SR, the management seems to be in constant flux, with the good ones (A & J) leaving with very little explanation, and the ones remaining difficult to get along with, and very close mouthed with details upon which our livelihoods depend. I believe the CEO is quite a different person in reality than what she presents. I agree with the other poster - I'm thinking I need to find other work.

I was there from Feb to July, this gig was always a temp gig, but the problem is they are not up front with you on when there is no more work or not enough. Times are tough out there, just crap MT and editing work, weekends, nights, the usual low pay. I got something but its mostly nights and weekends, only getting about 4000 lines per pay period. FYI

Have any of the other DMTs noticed that when there is a "big push" and we can "work all the hours we want" that as soon as that wave is done, then a "glitch" comes up in the work where we don't have any work for a few days? This is getting to be BS. ...

I tested and invited to interview for this company but can't find any info. They are paying hourly for a short-term project. Does anyone have any recent experience with this company? I have seen a few posts from fellow DMTs on this board (and wish we had the chance to talk while working to ask questions of each other!) and wanted to ask a question of you here on the board. I have had to send a couple jobs to QA to ask about a med or allergy for which I haven't found a match. I've noticed the comments are less than complimentary. Are you finding that comments received from QA are more degrading or condescending rather than helpful? Or is it just me? ...

Ok, so I heard some great things about ScribeRight so I sent them my resume via their website. I got a reply back today, asking me a couple simple questions about my skills and also sent 4 files to transcribe (3 sound pretty easy, 1 will be hard for me since I have no experience in that field, Onc). For those of you working as DMTs, are you starting to worry about the scheduled conference call? All of them, it seems have worked hard to be sure things would go well, and we would have work, but this lull is about to do me in. I want to hope for the best, but I am wondering if they are going to let some of us go since they overhired, or let us know the work will either not be coming as scheduled or not coming at all. I guess I am imagining the worst case scenario. What do you all think? ...
