I'd like to hear your experience with either of these companies. Is one worse or better than the other? Should I stay away? Thanks for your input.

They are trying to outsource the ENTIRE medical transcription industry to India and that includes all the MTs and all the medical records and proprietary information of all Americans!

that DL from Inscribe just lost a lot of accounts to MM. Very reliable source. DL is not too happy.

Never worked for Nuance, but have at Inscribe. Technically they should be a fabulous place to work, and I know there are a lot of happy MTs there (or at least they claim to be). I personally got fed up with the passive-aggressive e-mails and repeated threats of immediate contract termination. They claim to allow you to work the hours you want but then threaten with termination if you're not working when they want you to. They claim to be family oriented, but if you're not working when they think you should be because THEY need you, they will call for explanation of why you aren't working and determine if your reason is worthy or not - always with the threat of immediate contract termination. And a 99.5% accuracy requirement was pretty difficult for me to maintain with a haughty QA department that often couldn't agree amongst themselves what was the "right" way to do something. If you can thrive under that kind of high-pressure never-know-when-your-number-might-be-up kind of atmosphere, you'll do fine with Inscribe. I personally got tired of being on pins and needles all the time, worried sick about comma placement, and the constant "some of you are so fabulously wonderful pretty pretty ponies but some of you just plain suck" e-mails and always wondering which category you fell into, the "I'm watching you and I KNOW what you're doing" e-mails, and feeling like I had a target on my forehead just waiting for the that final reason to fire away. I do take pride in what I do, but I'm still human and so not a 'perfect' transcriptionist. If you are, you'll do fine with Inscribe. Give them a try. If you can live up to their expectations and can give Inscribe top billing in your life, you'll do fine! It's worth giving them a try. Good Luck!

Nuance - I worked for them. I always ran out of work or got switched to another account and then ran out of work there. I could not hit line count by only counting "time on the keyboard only." It was not fun, and had to go down to PT. With InScribe, get through the e-mails, who cares really, at least the work is there. The line count is tier based. So deal with the e-mails, and just work. Your choice.

Greetings! Our hospital just signed on with Nuance and Inscribe and yes we anticipate losing our jobs by the end of the year. However, during this time, we are learning - or attempting to learn - Inscribe. I have to tell ya going from Word to this is A TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME! My company was acquired by Nuance and I guess Nuance now has taken ownership of Emdat. All of sudden today, I can't get my foot pedal to play. I tried to reconfigure and it just sits there waiting for me to to press play, though I'm pressing, releasing, pressing and releasing and nothing. My foot pedal worked Friday when I logged off and it still works in my other transcription applications. Anyone else on this platform with this problem? Did Nuance/Emdat ...

According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. I was just wondering if anyone out there works for Inscribe or has taken their test for employment. I took the test and it was incredibly hard with ESL dictators. In the email I received from them, along with turning me down was a shpeel on enrolling in their university. This made me wonder if it was ligit or what....... anyone know? ...

Just spoke with them and they hire IC and say you can pretty much work whenever you want as long as you make minimum counts. Pay is only .07 for typing or VR but they use own VR system that sounds interesting, you repeat what was dictated. Any info on them would be helpful. Thanks ...

I reviewed comments on InScribe going back to 2005 and the only positive comment I could find is that they pay on time. A red flag was that they hire newbies and require that you go to an MT chat room and send the audio to another MT to listen to when you have to leave a blank before sending it to QA. There was also a comment that you are required to read all the comments in the chat room. Can anyone confirm this is the case? If so, it sounds like they use the seasoned MT ...
