Anyone who knows about this company, good or bad, please post your feelings about working for them. What platform do they use for straight transcription? What is their cpl rate? Do they pay for spaces? Do they make their ICs work a set schedule? Do they pay on time? I would appreciate hearing anything about them you care to share. Thx.

Platform is their own, Word-something if i recall. They are NOT in KY sm - BTDT

You will be asked to work a set schedule as an IC and the techs in India (where the work is assigned and where youir work is sent) will hound you all day via instant message, doling out 5 jobs at a time, saking for help with stats etc, and even calling you at home, regardless of what time it is. Pay is ontime. Used to be 9 cpl with spaces.

The owner is an Indian, has a house in Louisville, so they say the company is in KY, when actually the work is done in Ahemdabad (or however it is spelled) India.

Anyone who currently works at Medscribes: Concerning Medscribes-Louisville, KY recent job post hours. What are they meaning with the Mon-Fri, 1/2 shift on weekend. I read where someone wrote this was temporary gig. What is meant by that. I was recently hired and they did not tell me that. They did tell me about being Indian based and all the rest about a home in KY. I really do not know if they have Indian MTs but I would assume so, as most of the staff I have been in contact with are Indian and have very limited English. As we all know, the testing process, etc., in applying for a job just to find out they pay so poorly you couldn't afford to take the job is extremely frustrating. With this in mind, does anyone have any info on the Mediscribes ad for QA on the job seeker's board. Apparently it is a line rate. Just quit there. Seriously lacks organization. Their India "allocation" team throws bits and pieces at you, very low volume, but then hammers your IM to death. Example, a 12 minute report is assigned, I would just get started on it and within less than 10 minutes they want to know where it is. WTF?! If the 2 US managers are out of the office and the India team is in charge, it's a nightmare. Then, even if the US managers are there, it's slim pickins as far as volume goes and then they ...
