My Christmas wish for all of us is that we find great companies to work for and definitely make more money. (I believe in the tooth fairy and Easter bunny too!).
Happy and healthy holidays to everyone. ...
Bwahahaha! I am finally rid of this craphole! Quit right in the middle of my shift 2 nights ago, and I have to tell you.....I feel fabulous. Got the call from my supervisor today saying she would hold off putting my paperwork in on the chance that it was a split second decision and I'm rethinking it now plus the good old "no notice, no rehire" diddy they throw out. My response:
No offense to you in what I say, because you have been a really good supervisor. It may have been a ...
Scheduled to work today and NJA. No surprise as it happens every year. Hoping some work trickles in today. I don't want to sit here all day as well as all you other MT/ME's. I have tomorrow off and then back on Thursday and Friday with probably no work either. This paycheck is going to hurt. Hoping for a sock full of money from Santa. Ha. Ha.
Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and that you enjoy your time with your family/famili ...
Typine away and feeling very alone, a little sorry for myself, when I remembered all of you are out there working away too! So Merry Christmas to all of you, and God Bless Us Everyone! ...
I just want to wish you all a very merry Christmas. I hope you keep all your family and friends close at this time and that you're all snug and warm. I know this year has not been easy.
Keep the faith. ...
Just got a peek at next pay, the first with the new pay scale. I was astounded to see the pay was the highest I have seen in years! True, I worked my S off to get it, and I realize it can disappear in a flash at the whim of QA, but in this probably very brief moment I'm going to bask in the glow and hope for the best..... Indeed, Merry Christmas!! ...
Not even a card or word or wish or acknowledgement from my MModal supervisor or QA coach or management. Not a word that I even existed as I work on this holiday for their company.
On the other hand, I work a retail position part time. MModal take note. It didn't cost them much in either money or time. This company had the class to send a real card not an e-card to my home (that was hand signed by every member of management), had a small box of cookies and seasonal coffee fo ...
What I mean is, do you let the clock run for an hour and clock out, or the scheduled 8 hours and enter OOW in the comments section? Haven't done this before. ...
I don't post here often but do read. No matter what our differences or opinions when it comes to MQ, we all have it in common and sometimes it's just nice to know that you are all there with that common bond. So, thank you and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a bright new year. Jaybee ...
I don't need some gift (that wasn't worth the money they paid postage on). It just would have been nice to at least send out a company email wishing us a happy holidays. That would have only cost them the money it would have taken some salaried person to type it up and sned it out which is really nothing as that person would have been paid whether they did that or not. Guess 'cause we're an Indian company and that is not one of their holidays. What would have been appreci ...
Just wanted to say Happy Holidays to everybody and hope they have a great time and a great holiday!
This was our first time decorating and shopping as well as sending cards and stuff in over 7 years due to severe pain and financial issues. It feels so good to do normal things during the holiday this year, although it took numerous doctors appointments to do so. I felt so good when my cousin emailed me that my grandma was searching her mailbox everyday and nobody had sent a card yet, but me... s ...
I hope all of you have a nice holiday with your family. I know times can be hard, especially with work, but keep in mind that family is important and enjoy them while you can cause you never know when that will change in a just a moment. I hope your new year will be better for all of us. I wish for work for everyone. hugs for all of you! ...
This company really bites. Not even a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays from the upper management. Hope you all have a great couple days even if you have to work and a Happy New Year! ...
MedQuist ate up AllType and spit out the Radiology MTs. They have cut our pay in half, and just in time for Christmas! I guess instead of saying Happy Holidays, we will be screaming Homeless for the Holidays. And the "Manager" won't even respond to emails. This company does not care at all about its employees and is pure evil. ...
NTS (Nuance) who stole Christmas.....My version......We all know the tune, replace The Grinch with NTS (fits better sound-wise)...NTS = Nuance...
You're a mean one, NTS....
You really are a heel
You're a Monster, NTS....
You're heart's an empty hole
You're brain is full of spiders,
You've got garlic in your soul, NTS......(drag it out here!)
I wouldn't touch you with a......39-1/2-foot pole !!!!!
You're a foul one, NTS...
You're a nasty wasty ...
A couple of months back I posted my opinion about how things started going south for MTs when we no longer worked directly for the hospitals. I decided to put my paycheck where my mouth is and started looking. Lo and behold, practically in my own backyard I found a large hospital group who had been outsourcing everything, but then took it back in house because of poor quality and TAT. My new job starts in a few weeks. Great benefits, more leave time than I curre ...
Who in their right mind names a company "Happy Transcriptions?" In this day and age, all I see is "sad" MTs and, in my opinion, if "Happy Transcriptions" is still happy, they can only be messing even more with us poor "sad" MTs. All I can say is I am so "happy" I am so close to being on my way out of MT! ...
Am I the only one who feels that life is not happy at Happy Transcription? I love the work, but the owner is totally unprofessional and needs to revamp the organization. ...
Just got word from the hospital where my full-time coding job is that we will be laying off and/or terminating employees, eliminating positions and changing others. Why, oh why, do companies always do this around the holiday time? It gets more and more sad and more frightening daily, doesn't it, seeing more and more good people out of work and such a lack of prospects for employment. ...
Here's a link to holidays in India. My opinion? Don't work on these days. It's the closest thing you can get to a strike. Could be interesting.

Just got the email today that effective 10/01/2010, my MTSO (whom I will not name) will no longer be paying holiday pay (aka 1.5 cpl) for any holidays anymore b/c of "the economy." R U *** kidding me? First of all, I thought that the recession was officially over in 2009, but I could be mistaken. Secondly, I know holiday pay and OT and all that is a "perk" and not required by law to pay us, but yet they expect us MTs, er me, to work all major holidays for the same crappy cpl as always ...
Got denied for Thanksgiving request. I have put my life on hold for this company for 15 years. I have missed Christmases, Thanksgivings, family functions and fireworks and for what? To sit at my desk and wait for the work to trickle in? Or no jobs at all.
I am not working another single holiday for this company. Let the Indians work them. I am not even sending in a request for them; I am just going on with my plans. What are they gonna do, send my work to India? Fi ...
