Bwahahaha! I am finally rid of this craphole! Quit right in the middle of my shift 2 nights ago, and I have to tell you.....I feel fabulous. Got the call from my supervisor today saying she would hold off putting my paperwork in on the chance that it was a split second decision and I'm rethinking it now plus the good old "no notice, no rehire" diddy they throw out. My response:

No offense to you in what I say, because you have been a really good
supervisor. It may have been a split second decision that I made to quit,
but it has been a very long time coming. This company has taken a job I
loved and was extremely good at and turned it into a horrifying grind that I
just can't even bring myself to care about anymore. I could go on for pages
and pages about what a horrible company this has become, but they obviously
stopped caring a long time ago, and I'm sure you have heard it all before.
Please put through the paperwork for my termination. If I ever sink so low
as to even consider coming back to work for this company, I'll go sign up
for a lobotomy first.

Thanks for all the laughs, arguments, complaints and sympathizing. I probably lasted longer than I would have on my own with all you guys to talk to. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and here's hoping you all manage to escape from MModal hell!

Instead my gift from this company was a failed audit and a verbal warning earlier this week. And I have the anticipation of knowing there will be another audit right after Christmas. Of course, the report that damaged my good ones was a horrible dictator who changed things through the report. Also if you miss ONE time where this awful ASR puts she instead of he, you fail on that report also. There are job openings here for teacher assistants at the elementary school. I think I am going to apply. Lower pay, but holidays and summers off!

Do you mean to say you will fail an audit if you type, or leave in, what the dictator has dictated if it is otherwise clearly understood? Are the MTs now required to correct grammar, i.e., pronoun agreeing with the subject, etc, and the other BS?

Was told to change melanotic to melenic because it was "simply wrong" but when I changed good to well, even though the former was grammatically incorrect, I got dinged.

the first 3 reports I just looked at in job search for the dictator I was working on ALL had "Thank you. End dictation" left on the report!!!

WTG! I did the same thing, but all they did for me, was leave me a nasty voice mail about returning my equipment, but I got out and moved on and it wasn't easy. I truly wish more American MTs would do the same. Leave these places high and dry; let them struggle like so many of us have. Let Voice Wreck and India MTs do their work. Let them get what they truly deserve. You said it perfectly in your resignation and I think knowing you can never go back, oh my, helps you move on. I think the best way to quit is right then and there; let them know you would never consider returning, you don't need their horrible treatment, etc. You will get any PTO owed you (I did); so let them worry about the TAT and NJA and QA and TSM! (wow, I could really insert something here)! Good luck, Happy New Year!

Congratulations! I gave myself that same gift last Christmas.

It's been difficult making a transition, but I no longer have an upset tummy, insomnia, emotional eating, crankiness towards my lovable husband who deserved better, etc...

Just got a peek at next pay, the first with the new pay scale. I was astounded to see the pay was the highest I have seen in years! True, I worked my S off to get it, and I realize it can disappear in a flash at the whim of QA, but in this probably very brief moment I'm going to bask in the glow and hope for the best..... Of all the MQ employees here scheduled to work on Saturdays, has anyone been approved to have off Christmas Day? I put in my request exactly 60 days ahead of time (since we can't do it before that) and have yet to hear anything.
