Anyone with information on this company, good or bad?

MDinTouch has a website that speaks more to its ASP side. The MT side was known as Iridium and MDinTouch is the platform we work in. I have been with the company for 2 years and am very happy there. They are located in Miami and have been adding steadily. I am also an IC. My checks are on time, direct deposited, and correct. Anything else you would like to know?

Yes. As I said, I have been with them for 2 years now and have never had any problems with anything concerning my work. We are busy. We are smallish and we are growing but not too fast. For this industry this is a very sane place. Some days I have to pinch myself! Debbi is awesome to work with .. and, so am I!! LOL. That does not mean, by the way,that I am a suit .. far from it.

I am confused after reading your post. How are you contracted with MDInTouch when they are not even a transcription company?

Iridium was a part of MDinTouch. MDinTouch is the platform worked on. The owner has combined the company under one name, MDinTouch as the focus is directed more to transcription. You are assigned a certain account, usually a few doctors to transcribe giving you the ability to learn their idiosyncracies and produce well after you get your expanders and such in place and you are treated as the IC you are. You are asked for days you will work and approximate production but it is hard to know at the beginning. I am not micromanaged. You will be on QA until it is determined that you are comfortable and the company is comfortable that you can come off. QA is not punitive and every effort is made to help you get productive and earning. Do not rush through training and, if you have questions, be sure to ask. None of us are mind readers. I find it to be a very professional place to work.

Are you held to a certain number of lines per day? Are you assigned a specific account to work on? There has been a lot of negative feedback, people saying they are in India, that you will be micromanaged, etc.

Well Good Friday to me. I left Spheris. It is indeed the best Friday for me in a very long time. Makes no difference that I know of to the dictator. Doesn't save him or her any money. Probably a negative for the patient, as I sincerely believe there is a bigger chance of their medical record being less than accurate. I have been an MT for 8 years before moving up to the MME position recently. I told myself that I would never nitpick as I experienced in the past. I still hold true to that. We are to only fill in the blanks unless we note an obvious error, then its full QA, except we get paid the fill-in-the-blank line rate rather than 100% QA line rate (3 cpl rather than 4). After struggling financially and being increasingly unhappy with my job for three years (yes, only three years) I am officially DONE with MT work. I have other skills that would be more fullfilling to pursue and i'm going to do it. Honestly, i'd settle for a job at a grocery store at this point. At least i'd have a steady paycheck. ITS HORRIBLE and you are barely making your lines for that night? This is like clockwork. I will have a good day of dictation, speakers that actually make sense eventhough the VR still stinks and high line counts...the very next day, I am stuck with the worst speakers out there and barely get anything done and line counts to make you cry. I had been feeling so fortunate, getting mostly good dictators in recent months, but now, in the past couple of weeks, all I'm getting are dictators with thick accents with bad sound quality and static or female dicators with high-pitched, monotone voices that are like fingernails on a chalk board.
