United Transcription - some current information - memt2

Can someone give me some current information about this company, good bad, would prefer someone working there now or within the last 6 months. Have done a search but would like something more current. Thanks in advance.

No tech support, supervisor is overwhelmed, does not seem like she knows what she is doing, out of work constantly, low-pay, not many resources, i.e., a simple alphabetized doc list would be nice, lots of hard ESL. This business is a joke, and I am looking daily for other opportunities. As a matter of fact, I can't believe they are advertising for more MTs???

Took their test last week but still haven't heard anything... I'll stay clear of them now, though. Hope you find something soon! Good luck! :)

Worked for them a few months back - never received my contract altho it was supposed to be in the mail. After a week, and still not receiving it, I terminated from them - did receive my last paycheck tho. Never did find out where the contract went. :) Work was very easy psychiatric work, but the pay just wasn't worth the effort. I wonder what they mean now in the ad stating "commensurate with experience." ???

I had a weird experience with them too. They got me all set up with their system and were supposed to call for a walk-thru, but I never got the call. There seems to be a serious lack of communication there. Unfortunately, they have my SS#. Just glad my credit report is monitored. Beware!

They're supposed to send transcription test today. It's been a few wks since I applied so forget what ad said. Found some posts in archives and somewhat concerned. One said they use "tests" to get actual work done, hired but never heard from again, another said scam (from 2006), pay 7.5 cents for 17 yrs of exp with clunky platform, and so on. But also looks like there are few different companies with same name. Already make over 7.5 cents so not interested in doing their test if that&# ...

I've looked through the archives here and I'm not finding any current information on SOAP Transcription. Does anyone have any recent info for me on the company? Are they a good company to work for? What is their pay like? I read on their website that they hire someone with a Learntranscription.com certificate or a certificate from any accredited AHDI affiliation. Is that a must to get hired there? I don't have any certifications, but I have quite a bit of experience. ...

. . . so we'll see. I don't particularly like that they give you a choice of set shifts, even as an IC, which is what I want, because I have to juggle my work with another job as a travel agent. However, I HAVE to have at least 1000 lines a day to keep me going between commissions. I usually work in the evenings and early in the morning and I have no problem with TAT. I don't need to be babysat and held to a set schedule, since I have been doing this for 20 ...
