Landmark Hiring again - MTbeengone

Why is this company always hiring. Do they overstaff, make the MTs wait for work and then all the MTs quit or something? I am interested, any info --thanks

This is what their dictators need to know:
When you don't use a pause button, we can't produce, i.e. no work gets done while we have to listen to you peruse a chart for 5 minutes!
When you deliberately hum a PE, rather than form actual words, the process takes 10X as long because the audio adjustments on this platform suck and auto backspace forces re-listening to a lengthy sentence just to rehear a word.
When you do not provide demographics, there is up to an hour a day of MT time wasted on research when we could have been producing.
In other words: Learn to !)* do your jobs so we can do ours and get the work back to you in the time it SHOULD take.
Hiring more people simple leaves no work for others when the offending dictators are not on the schedule and we have good dictators. In other words nip the problem in the bud (with the clients) rather than making the MTs pay for the clients wasting our time forcing a lot of unpaid labor and their account will stay current.

grossly overhires. The account they are hiring for now had NO WORK for most of the week last week, and it was sporatic, maybe yes, maybe no, and day by day before that for a long, long time. In other words, you won't know if you are going to work until you try to sign on, and most of the time you won't be working, or briefly.
They do overflow from the facility for one thing, so the facility MTs get first dibs, and for another there are too many Landmark MTs on the account. This keeps Landmark covered and they don't care who gets to make some money and who doesn't. Their objective is to stay in turnaround, so they overstaff accounts and its first come first serve.
Hey, I'm not saying don't apply, but if you do and accept a job with them, don't think you will make any reliable paycheck!

If you left them (I'm guessing you're THAT one), how do you know how much work is there or what kind of account it is? What makes you privy to this information?
I work for them and can tell you on my account we're busy and we need help. I'm transcribing as many lines as I can and feel like I'm barely making progress.
I'm really curious how you're such an authority on all things Landmark

For your information, I left there some time ago, but I know somebody that is still there and stuggles every day to work. It's typical to run out of work, and your situation obviously is not. I am glad you have "plenty of work", but you are one of few.

I used to come to this site and cheer on Landmark on how great K was, how I had plenty of work, etc. After I was there probably 8 months is when I all of a sudden had NO work. I went from making a very good living to not even clearing $100 bucks a pay period. I would beg and beg and beg K for more accounts with my emails usually going unanswered. When she would answer, it was ALWAYS lame excuses that it was some odd holiday "Palm Sunday" perhaps and that holiday caused the ENTIRE hospital to close? She never even bothered to give me ANY kind of explanation, she just kept leading me on, making me anticipate work "really picking up", which she claimed it would. I finally found another job and I have stayed at LM just because I like the platform and even though I NEVER EVER make over $200 per pay period, that's $200 bucks extra and this day and time I don't turn down money. It's great that your account is so plentiful, I can only wish mine was as well.

doesn't pay the bills. They overstaff, then you sit around and wait, then you have to work in the middle of the night to MAYBE get work, and finally most give up and quit.

The account I am on is just an overflow account, so the MTs at the hospital get to work the day shift M-F. I always have work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If I work late hours during the week the work is usually there, but not until about 3 p.m. It's hit and miss with my account.

They hire MTs for overflow accounts and rather than TELLING the MT they can make some good TEMPORARY cash flow, they deceive them into thinking that it will be permanent full-time work. The work dwindles to nothing, the supervisor acts dumbfounded like she has no clue what is going on, barely answers emails and FINALLY you get smart and quit. This pattern has been going on with them for at least 8 years that I know of.

I was not aware that this account was an overflow account when I started. When I first started with them, I had an endless amount of work and was making really good money. Now, I've been there about a year and my work has dwindled down to about 20 hours a week. I'm not sure what is going on, and I'm surprised they are hiring and specifically looking for full-time ICs. The one thing I like about them is that they leave you alone to work and don't QA you to death. I would say that they are good for a second job.

I have worked for Landmark for almost 2 years. It was good at first but for about 6 months now I have very little work. Hi everyone - I worked for Landmark Transcription out of PA last year until 2011 and I haven't received my W-2 from them yet. I have sent them 3 emails directly on the website because I no longer have any of my Landmark contacts saved but haven't gotten an answer yet. I just saw an ad on the job seeker's board for Landmark stating they are hiring for VR because their account is switching to VR. Does anyone know if this is across the board for Landmark? Are they totally switching to VR altogether? Or just one certain account? I am worried because personally I hate VR and rather enjoy the straight typing I do for them.
