I saw an ad for GMR transcription and applied via their website’s application form. I was using my mac at the time. It didn’t seem to like it, so I then tried it using my Windows computer and I was able to proceed to the next step. I get done with the application, I checked the box that asked if I would agree to a test, I pasted my resume and sent it on its way. Nothing. Although I did get a confirmation email that they received my application I never heard back from them. I followed up a few weeks later and they never answered back. Although this normally automatically gives me bad vibes about a place’s availability to its people not to mention questions their integrity in other areas, I know that sometimes these places are just inundated with resumes and etc. So I let it alone.
A couple of months later I tried again. Reentered all my info, everything as stated above just to see if I would get a different reply, and I did. This time, I get some emails from Ms. Worthy. She put me on her newsletter list, I think I agreed to it in the application process-I don’t remember, and the other email shows me a link that I can use to connect to their test. I clicked it and there’s no test, it just sends me back to their application page! There’s no test anywhere on the page or the email, there were no other links, there were no attachments and according to their FAQ section when they want you to test you get an email with attachments and instructions.
I don’t know what the hell is going on.
I think it’s safe to say I won’t be working for these weirdos anytime soon, but is this normal for them? S.N.A.F.U.?
Is that the one in California?
