Imedx giving notice - 2 weeks or not?

Does anyone know if you do not give 2 weeks notice if they will still give you your accrued vacation time? 

Sitting here today twiddling my thumbs staring at a blank queue most of the day.  I am just totally over it.  I'd rather just move on with my life ... but I do want my paid vacation time. 

Putting my 2 weeks in soon, too so wondering - the same thing.

First, call your state and see if you qualify for underemployment based on your wages the last 4 quarters, decrease in work, etc. I had a full-time and a part-time job. I got fired from the full-time and filed for unemployment, even though I still had a part-time job. I was granted unemployment benefits of $300 a week. The catch is that if I make $300 a week from the part-time job, I receive $0, but, IF I only have enough lines to earn $150, then, I get $150. I also qualified then for food stamps, energy assistance and possibly income-based housing. Yes, this "profession" has landed me in the poor house.

After looking at a blank screen most of the week, I soon will be collecting the entire amount of unemployment, while my full time job is finding a new full-time job! Reading the post today regarding Nuance's plans to hire 3000 Indians over the next 18 months, and given that many of our accounts are subcontracted from Nuance, I would suggest inquiring about filing for underemployment sooner rather than later. In the meantime, I am also looking, looking, and looking for anything to get out of this nightmare before I get the phone call that the account(s) I am now on decided to go with Epic, in-house, another vendor, when it is pretty clear that is a bunch of BS.

I know the feeling. My accounts have been like that for the last few weeks. I looked in the employeed handbook and it has there if you do not give a notice you will not receive your PTO. Sick days you will not receive unless used.

Depends on how much PTO you have and if it - would keep you from another job - sm

You don't have to worry about whether or not they would rehire you because they are eliminating US MTs and sending the work to India. That is why they have a hiring freeze. Also, don't worry about whether they blacklist you with other companies. They clearly are the new kid in town with the absolute worst reputation, and other companies know they are worthless. Other companies are definitely in the loop with what has been going on. At this point I would be ashamed to work for them and have already quit. Get your PTO out of the way before you give a notice if you can.

In-house does not give notice. You are told on the spot. That is what it is in today's work force. They are afraid you will retaliate All security codes and passwords are secured and you are locked out. Don't think anyone in this job cares. Here today, homeless tomorrow.

I am giving it up, transcription work.  I have been a transcriptionist since 1998 and have thus so far on this board or other boards have had a job that supported me in doing my work.  I have learned many platforms and programs for these companies and always QA seems to be the downfall on all jobs.  Learn it one way, learn it another way and always not good enough. I just took a job that said they paid 3.2 cpl for edited and 6.8 for transcribed.  Almost everything is edited.  Now they want me to divide my edited line count by half and claim that as my edited line count, not the total number of edited lines I do.  Has anyone else been told this kind of stuff?  I can't believe it!  If I do this I only get paid 1.6 cpl for my edited lines.  I am flabergasted!  I can't live off that in America, who could? ...
