I am confused. My friend said she received an email that said if she gets an email from India Imede to ignore. She should not be in the India loop.

When she called tech support line, she thought she was speaking with an indian doctor, but he was the new tech.

My question: How many days does "she" have left with Imdex?

Apparently, there are emails sent to "national" groups, India and USA. We're supposed to ignore the India group emails & just read the ones for USA.

Gee, they don't appear to be very worried about a connection to India. Alpha's reps are claiming that they are a "completely stand alone company."

Can't get much dirtier than this, except that now our tax dollars are being used to fund this foreign company.

Stand alone? Really ??? Then why were we paid through ADP as iMedX??? If they are fronting for iMedX then I am glad I am gone.

Hard to say, but those working on government accounts (VA) through Alpha are being terminated or forced to work for only a few dollars per hour, while the Alpha "Chief Resources Officer" tells them they must stay on line, even if there isn't work, and just keep hitting "refresh." Alpha sold out to Imedx,and is now apparently providing a front for these foreigners. Many people are now busy informing VA Hospitals that they do not appreciate their tax dollars being used to fund a foreign company. Please join us.

email system is a dinosaur - not user friendly

Does anyone else find the Imedx email to be totally antiquated? You would think a company the size of Imedx would have something more user friendly and no so 1990s. Also seems to slow my computer down with it running in the background. Anyone else notice this?

It crashed my PC along with a couple of other coworkers. I also got a virus that went undetected... took over my internet home page, pop-ups everywhere - and the virus program never caught it. I uninstalled their stupid end-user version and reinstalled the program I've PAID FOR A YEAR IN ADVANCE - and immediately, it caught and isolated the virus.

They can fire me for not using their useless program that creates huge problems with locking up. This is MY COMPUTER that I paid an arm and leg for. I'll control things on my end, thank you.

I did not uninstall and am currently using it even though I had to uninstall my perfectly good PAID FOR virus scan, but my laptop went into the shop to the tune of a week off work and $220 to get it working after their virus scan crashed it as well. They said I was the only one of ALL the MTs this happened to. GAH!

We all know this is not looking good.

Of the 5 other MTs I know working here, 2 of them have had issues, big ones.

Found email customizing options for iMedX - something that may help...

At the top of your iMedX email screen, click on Options. There, you can tell your computer to show a popup and/or play a sound to alert you of new emails. Just go through each item under the Options tab and make changes to your preferences. It's nothing as good as Outlook, but at least you can change the font size, background colors, and all sorts of other things to make it a little less crappy.

Were you PT or full time, did they call or did they email, did you have options, or just firing. How many lines did you do per day. that we cannot send reports with more than 3 blanks through on TWO of the accounts I work on. Right now, I have one of the worst dictators on one of those accounts. She is ESL and she whispers. Well, I will not be reading these emails calculating how much time we are working and "goofing off." They will only make me less motivated and quite frankly angry. I am not a robot, there are times after a long difficult report that I have to step away from the computer to give my brain a few minute break. I have this one particular doc that is not only speaking so fast the tape is cut down to 80%, but she is whispering. Slightly paranoid about being audited now since I'm reporting NJA instead of working 24/7. It's amazing just how many reminder emails we get and how many minute details for each account. I'm forwarding to my email to have just in case I'm ever managed out and need to defend myself along with the good and sometimes bad audits I've had. I'm human. Don't make huge amount of errors, but definitely not perfect... ...

Just recently our QC sent out an email to an MT in our group for a HIPAA error and blind copied all the MT/MME in the BOB. This poor MT would never have known unless others came forward and reported that they got this email in error. Make sure that if you get an email it is only coming to you. I really hope she files a complaint with HR for shaming her in front of her peers. Don't look, don't share apparently does not apply to anyone other than MT/MME. ...
