of leaving out the word "a", this is ridiculous. Whenever I think about quitting I feel happy; whenever I think about working I feel sad, micromanaged. Life is TOO short. Just my short rant.

Ah....I remember those days. Very stressful. You must be working for TTS or like company. I can sympathize with you. If you slow down your work to catch ever single syllable, your line count suffers. If you keep your line count at 251 VR lines per hour and catch every single one of those a, and, and the's then you only make $6 an hour, but the company is happy because your QA is 98% or better.

MT altogether. I've been exploring other options with a little more creativity and ideas involved. I have no passion for this anymore. I actually used to love it many moons ago. Now, arduous, drudgery.

I'm sorry, but you should care about leaving out words. My account just recently went to VR and I am sickened over how unprofessional the reports are now....leaving out a, and, the. No wonder why so many institutions are switching. Why keep the subpar transcriptionist when they can get the same quality out of VR. I take pride in what I do. When you compare my reports to VR, you see the difference. You see a report that is professional. I would even go as far as saying my reports are beautiful. I care. Too many people just don't care anymore. Where is your pride?

I think you are missing the point RadMT. We were talking about missing the "a, and, the" on VR. The VR is not picking it up. I switched from a VR company back to doing straight transcription, never miss an "a, and, or the". Difference of opinion, but I think VR is terrible.

I could have sworn MT12 was saying that SHE was leaving out the "a, and, the" ... and irritated that her QA people took off points for it. If she was saying that VR did that then I apologize, my mistake. I think VR is horrible.

You are right, but these companies cannot have it both ways. I have been dinged for adding articles because they wanted "verbatim." So the transcriptionist gets dinged either way. We simplty are in a no-win situation. Time to get out and clean toilets. It pays more, and less stress.

and hesitates. Also VR picks up all the noise from the background - nurses talking, laughing, joking, phones ringing, etc. It "types" these noises.

Where N is concerned the point is to take money off us via taking away "bonuses" which are really not bonuses at all but components of our pay easily snatched away to make us all into very low paid workers.

It seems like MM is going further and actually terminating those making decent pay via this severe QA method, but then do the ones they hire on for less have an easier time with the stringent QA?

Got an e-mail this morning that apparently a DOCTOR is entering the wrong access code and " If this information is dictated and not corrected on the ADT screen, it is a 3.0 point deduction, which often times will cause a failed audit score with this error alone." So, what I get from this memo is that now we are suppose to know what their access codes are?? AND if I don't my report gets audited? Is this new? I just noticed that the last report I had sent to QA had .25 points deducted because they were able to fill in my blank. I know these scores don't count like QC scores do, but I find it bizare that they deduct points for it. I feel like I'm being punished for not being as swift as a QC person. Yikes! I did hear what the doctor said, but it didn't make sense to me so I wanted another opinion before it went to the client. Isn't that what we are supposed to do! ...

I am so thankful that I am no longer with MM. I quit in May and it is the best decision I have made in a very long time. I got so tired of the unreasonable hours, the constant changing of hours/days. I noticed today that the break pay section of the timesheet was gone today and when I clocked off a minute ago after working for 7 hours that in the "break" box, it said 0.00, when usually it would be 0.33. Anyone know? I know it's not a lot of money, but I usually get about 3 hours per pay period and about $30. I would hate to lose that, cause every dollar counts. ...

I just noticed today that my TL no longer shows up on my comagent. I always keep it open on my desktop and can tell who is on and who isn't and her name is always there regardless of whether she is working or not and then today all of a sudden her name is gone. Yes, I have seen this enough times that it no longer surprises me. There were 18 reports on my primary. I have an hour left of my shift. When I anticipated downloading the next one, all 18 were gone, gone, gone. It is upsetting.
