In this horrible economy, I personally am very thankful to have a job, good health, a fantastic husband, and a wonderful dog....Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Just curious, what kind of dogs? I love dogs, though not currently able to have one (our landlord says no). If we move, I would get a Rottie, a Dobie, a pit or a chow--or maybe all four!

Hi Nick: I have 2 full-blooded rescue boxers which I adopted from the local SPCA. Abby is 7 years old I have had her for 5 years now. Chester is my newest boxer puppy and is only 10 months old. I have had him for 7 months now. The dogs get along fine and are best buddies now but my older female is the dominant one. Chester is twice the size of Abby. I love all dogs and have had a lab beagle mix rescue also. All are great dogs but found a soft spot for the boxers. These guys are my 4th boxer rescues. Boxers are just like people sometimes. I hope someday you are able to have a dog. I am so thankful for the animal rescue leagues and my dogs are my buddies! Happy Thanksgiving :)

And I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving as well. I have always loved boxers, too. When I was a kid my neighbors had one named "Buster" and it was wonderful. (One time during the summer, it ran into our church while the service was going on. It was really hilarous to see the ushers trying to catch it!) If we ever buy a house, I would definitely consider a boxer. I have seen a lot of boxer-pit bull mixes lately, too. I really have to hand it to the rescue programs. They was wonderful. A guy I know does greyhound rescue. Do you have any cats? The reason I ask is that I have one cat and wonder how it would get along with a dog? A pit, definitely not. But a boxer, hopefully yes! Have a great weekend.

I am thankful that I was able to have a good job in MT all those years, and for all of the wonderful people I worked with. I am thankful for everyone on this board, and to the moderator for making it all possible. I am thankful for my family, my animals, including birds, and thankful to be entering a new phase of my life. I wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I pray everyone on this board has a job that they can be satisfied with. I know there are so many troubles in MT and I hope that in some way God can ease the pain. I am so blessed to have found a good job about two weeks ago. I have been unemployed and this one is a true blessing. It makes we want to work very hard to keep it and do my best. told to clock in at beginning when scheduled. If no work, clock out. Then it states to check back EVERY 30 minutes. If there is work clock in and begin working. When there are no more jobs clock out. Keep doing this until end of shift. Isn't this requiring us to be available for 8 hours but unpaid (most likely)? Doesn't this even go against MModal's current policy on no work available? ...

and the window to request Christmas is about to open, and the new rule our "scheduler" made up is that we can only take one of them, it would be nice if she would PROCESS THE THANKSGIVING REQUESTS SO WE KNOW IF WE CAN REQUEST CHRISTMAS OR NOT. On a side note, since we can only take one of them, I suspect because she thinks it will make her job easier, that's going to throw way too many people working on completely dead holidays, which will lead to her having to fill out a ton ...

Who in their right mind names a company "Happy Transcriptions?" In this day and age, all I see is "sad" MTs and, in my opinion, if "Happy Transcriptions" is still happy, they can only be messing even more with us poor "sad" MTs. I've been at TTS for almost 3 years and I have nothing but positive things to say about TTS. I never have to guess what TTS expects from me, and I do my best to deliver that on a consistent basis. Communication flows freely and efficiently. My team leader and 2 shift leads are EXCELLENT managers in my opinion. Everything I invest in my job comes back to me and then some.
