I am testing with GIS this evening, does anyone have any information on this company. I am currently working with TTS, they do not even pay 4 CPL for editing. I feel like this business has become a legalized form of slavery. The only business where with over 10 years of experience, your pay goes down.

pay is 5 cpl for straight typing.
They claim you make up the difference by having lots of templates. That's not exactly true. SOME doctors pull in text, some do not. MOST doctors are ESL. You do get assigned your own doctors and there's not a rigid time schedule.

As above poster stated, 5 cpl for straight typing. They KNOW this isn't right, so before they get it out of their mouth good, they tell you that they MUST pay this rate because there are so many pull-in lines that basically your cpl will average twice that. That was VERY far from true for me. They assign specific doctors and my doctor had ZERO pull-in lines I straight typed for 5 cpl. When I brought this up to them they said "Well, your doctor is easy" Okay, well yes, his accent was easy and his reports were all about 5 to 10 lines at max and I made $300 per two weeks as my pay!!! Oh yea, this is IC pay also, this is not employee status.

Due to my complaining, they gave me a secondary doctor to help with and he actually did have pull-in lines, but their platform is incredibly slow and honestly the time it took to pull the lines in I could have typed them myself. Again, pay did not go up.

I think it is honestly shameful because the place is ran by a couple of MTs and they know full well this is ridiculous pay! They do not have a certain schedule you have to adhere to, it is 24-hour TAT, BUT if you aren't working at a certain time they will send you emails stating they are "concerned" and you have to explain what time you plan to work. They say they do this because so many people "just quit" with no explanation and they cannot figure out why. They know EXACTLY why these people quit, they are both MTs and I am certain they would both quit if they had to work for 5 cpl as an IC.

Thanks for your honesty, right now I am not even making 5 CPL, I am getting 0.343 CPL and have been in this business over 13 years. THey offered me 7.5 CPL for straight typing a hosp account. Am going to take it in order to support myself while I get a CNA license to get out of this legalized slavery business

Need recent info on GIS please. Just been contacted by them for an IC position, straight typing @.05 a line! The statement they posted earlier in MTStars about the Dept of Defense is incorrect. DPTS won the contract. Global is a "subcontractor" of DPTS. Therefore, DPTS is 1 of 4 companies proven, not GIS. Please give feedback that is current about SGS. Do you run out of work? I know what the pay scale is, as I've talked to a recruiter. Can someone that works or has worked for GIS please explain this to me? I was offered a position for straight typing at GIS. I was told that the pay is only 5 cpl, despite years of experience. I was told by the recruiter that it is 90% template work and my average pay would be 15 cpl and that is why they could only offer the 5 cpl. Is this true? I really need a job, but can't imagine how to make money with 5 cpl. ...
