Does anyone else have any experience with them? I sent a resume and the email I got back was horrible. Thinking this is most likely a scam...wanting to warn others not to waste their time if so.

I agree. They said they would pay $22 per hour and would send me the the HP all in one and they would deposit the money in my account that can only be BOA. Yep. It is a scam.

The add is almost identical to the Gilbert ad on another job board. Not only do we have to deal with NJA, low pay now we have to watch out for scammers and no payers! I did "google and click" and cannot find them in Warren, MI where they say they are located - or anywhere else.

Thank you for your comment - I actually applied to them and just received today an e-mail with what they were looking for and a short questionnaire to fill out and send back before going on to the next step. Was not sure what to make of it as I have never heard of this company. But I filled it out and just sent it - will see what kind of response I get. But now I'm starting to wonder if it could be a scam - need a job but don't know who to trust anymore but won't jump into anything that sounds too good to be true.

And you don't generally get a questionnaire! Be careful. I just got a job with Alpha, part of IMedX, at the general going rate. Getting all of my paperwork done right now. Should be interesting and I hope NOT at all like MQuest/M*Modal or whatever they decide to call themselves now.

Glo/Gilbert Transcription - Anon

I applied on MTJobs last week to both a Glo and Gilbert transcription opening having no idea - both looked like legit ads for help. I received a quick response back and was asked some questions that are standard for medical transcription work. I received a reply stating I had the job, no request to test, which raised a red flag to me, and the biggest red flag was the supplying of all the equipment I would need and the pay was $22.00. I did not respond back to the man who wrote to me.
Before I was going to answer this last email I went searching for the company online and none of them stated they were in Alaska or Michigan like the ads stated, so I decided I was done with that email and deleted it.
I am not having success finding a job online or around my home area - sure wish it had been legit! It is so disappointing!!

Would someone explain to me how is that this company can legally pay us a lower rate for ASR compared to transcription? Since the advent of voice recognition and overseas outsourcing, transcription has ceased to be a profession. I will NEVER -- repeat, NEVER make the money I was making as a transcriptionist at a hospital 5 years ago, before we were replaced by VR and cheap outsourcing to India. Now all that's left are transcription companies here in the U.S. that don't want to pay much more, lie to us and tamper with our line counts. GET OUT, GET OUT OF TRANSCRIPTION! ...

It seems that everyone has negative things to say about how employers do not pay MTs what they're worth and how they offshore the easy stuff, but pile on the lousy ESL stuff on the transcriptionists in the States. Don't work for this company. They are extremely picky. One person tells you to do it one way, another tells you differently. They tell you to leave blanks for another to listen to (that's what we want!) but then complain that you are leaving blanks. No one can hear some of the poor dictators and you need to leave a blank. A seasoned MT well versed in voice recognition software, particularly Editscript, produced by eEscription out of Massachusetts, can make 500-600 lines per hour. At 3 cents a line that is slave wages.
