USA Transcription - What?
Posted: May 30, 2010
They are so antiquated! They want you to have a what? A large cassette player and pick up tapes and live in Houston/Spring are and... Good grief!
sometimes it is the doctor's call on this, not the MTSO. (smallmessage) - longtimemt

Perhaps the account is a small group at a clinic or two and they WANT to continue using tapes.
Perhaps the MTSO is trying to sell them something they do not want nor care to invest in.
It sounds like they want a private MT for their work - Could be VERY lucrative

Believe it or not, those pick up and delivery gigs tend to pay quite a bit and come with raises, etc. I wish more docs in my area were so "antiquated." I'd be making money hand over fist.
hey, if I lived there - I would love it

no computer program telling someone if I am online, how long it takes to do work, big brother in general, sounds awesome to me!!
I would appreciate any input anyone may have on these 3 companies. I have tried to find out about them through their local BBB, but only Net Med Transcription has anything on it. Thanks. ...
Just trying to get info on both companies. Don't see much when I search. Anyone work for either of these and can give me more info would be appreaciated. ...
A legal contact was inquiring about the connection of medical mistakes related to off-shored transcription mistakes. I have told him to review these boards and hopefully he will benefit from the information here.
While he did not discuss the exact case, I think that he will be able to use the off-shore transcription issue to his client's benefit or at least highlight that the provider in question does not have as rigorous control on processing records as other pr ...
I have been offered a position with both. I have; however, in the past, had a position where the employer still owes me $6000. Does United pay and have the work? Does Nuance have enough work for me? I need full time work guaranteed income, like everyone else. Good luck to all out there! ...
Would someone explain to me how is that this company can legally pay us a lower rate for ASR compared to transcription? After they pushed ASR on me, (said that I wouldn't ever get a 50:50 ratio of ASR to transcription) I am getting mostly ASR work. My pay has dropped significantly. Can they do this? ...
I have an interview tomorrow morning with this company, and I was wondering how they are to work for (i.e. work load, pay on time, platform, etc.).
TIA!!! ...
Anyone have any information about P.R.N. Transcription? Got a reply on a resume I sent out and am wondering what type of company they are??? Good, bad, ugly? ...
Since the advent of voice recognition and overseas outsourcing, transcription has ceased to be a profession. I will NEVER -- repeat, NEVER make the money I was making as a transcriptionist at a hospital 5 years ago, before we were replaced by VR and cheap outsourcing to India. Now all that's left are transcription companies here in the U.S. that don't want to pay much more, lie to us and tamper with our line counts. GET OUT, GET OUT OF TRANSCRIPTION! ...
It seems that everyone has negative things to say about how employers do not pay MTs what they're worth and how they offshore the easy stuff, but pile on the lousy ESL stuff on the transcriptionists in the States. Too bad there can't be a general strike of U.S. MTs - a day without transcription - just to show how we're needed. It seems to be the only thing employers would understand.
Impossible, I know, but I bet employers would sit up and take notice. ...
I would love to do medical transcription at home but I don't have very strong ESL experience. I live in Arkansas, for pete's sake! Is there not a transcription company out there that starts you out with dictators you can actually understand until you get used to everything????? ...
I failed at an archive search, but for some reason I'm associating this MTSO as being sort of like Toth, with a Christian-based philosophy or something?
Sounds like an interesting opportunity but hate to pursue it if it's one of the "no-pay" folks. ...
How does everything think that electronic medical transcription will affect transcription in the next few years when the new health care rules come into play in physician offices? ...
Saw previous posts regarding R Transcription. If your questions have not been answered yet, you can email me and I will give you any info the best I can if you still need it. georgiagardening@gmail.com ...
If anyone, especially brand new rookie transcriptionists, get a job offer from DIT transcription, DO NOT TAKE IT!!! I have worked there for about 3 months now and have yet to be paid. They will not return my calls or emails regarding this (but they return promptly when I have a question about a dictation) and when the owner, ****, did finally email me back, he said the check was in the mail, and of course, it wasn't. I did research the company before I took the job an ...
Wow, did anybody read their ad? It is so full of DO NOT requests--do not call me, do not say you will do the work and then not do it, do not do this, do not do that, etc. I wonder if someone applying for the job included an equal number of DO NOTS for the MTSO if he or she would respond? I am thankful that I already have a good job. I would not want to work for anyone who is so negative in an ad. If it is this bad in an ad, how is s/he in person? She fails to ...
Don't work for this company. They are extremely picky. One person tells you to do it one way, another tells you differently. They tell you to leave blanks for another to listen to (that's what we want!) but then complain that you are leaving blanks. No one can hear some of the poor dictators and you need to leave a blank. If you decide to try to fill in the blank, you are wrong too. I am a very experienced transcriptionist to have been treated this p ...
Hi,
I am a newbie. I just graduated with honors from Career Step. I am reviewing many companies. Does anyone have any experience with C & C Transcription? Would like to know more about them. Thanks for you help. ...
PLEASE..do not be foolish enough to work for this company!! They are offerring 3 cents for VR. A seasoned MT well versed in voice recognition software, particularly Editscript, produced by eEscription out of Massachusetts, can make 500-600 lines per hour. At 3 cents a line that is slave wages. It will average you 12 cents a line on a good account. I knew this would happen eventually. I am making 4.5 cents on Editscript and making 28-30 an hour before my IC status. Do not ...
Does anyone know anything about C&C Transcription. I did some tests for them a while back and at the time they said they were not hiring. I "friended" them on Facebook and asked if they were hiring yet to which they replied, they were because they were swamped. I told them about recently taking the tests and was wondering if I had passed. They keep telling me they have not had time to review my tests!!! It has been about 4 weeks since I took the first test and about a ...
