A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
In a nutshell, I graduated from Career Step in 2007 with High Honors and worked for TRS for a year. I was happy at TRS and produced quality work (98.5% accuracy). Then life intervened and the past few years have been rough.
The good news is, I survived I would like to get back into transcription, but I am having a hard time filling the "recent" experience qualification most reputable companies have. In an attempt to refresh my skills while I am waiting on rejection emails, I am taking an RMT review class through M-Tec. While a few things are rusty, it is amazing what I still know!
Any advice on companies I should look into or what I can say/do to make myself more hireable? I would like to learn VR, but right now can't afford any of the online classes. I would rather learn on the job, if that is possible.
Thanks in advance,
Linda
