Does anyone know anything about RCJPS also known as remote contractor job placement services? - wondering?

Posted: Aug 03, 2012

Is this for real and has anyone worked through them? They posted job offering on here on the job seekers board today.

I just applied and THEN did some research - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
I wished I had researched first. They are a Job Placement Organization and charge a fee of $75 to VIEW the medical transcription jobs...no guarantee of being offered a job. There are other fees involved as well. I found this on Facebook, of all places. It is long...

I applied also, but then googled and found some info, but not what you found. - wondering?

Wish I had also researched first which I usually do. I found their website but didn't see anything about a fee. Thanks for the info.

Oh I could cry, but I have to laugh. I did the same thing - sm

I applied, but did not research. Came here and found this. Very thankful you posted this!

Sounds like you will be the paying them instead of - the paying you - Way too many

fees involved to not be guaranteed a good client base. Sounds a lot like an employment agency where they place you with jobs only employment agencies dont require all the fees.

Anytime you have to pay somebody for a job, it's probably a *BAD* idea.

NEVER, NEVER pay to get a job. Legitimate employment - agencies charge the EMPLOYER. n/m

They do charge a fee. It appears they just copy ads off of the internet and post them on their site and charge you to view them. I feel it is a rip-off. There are no dates as to when the ads were posted either, so they could be very old ads. I wasted my $75 but would not do it again. If you look hard enough on the internet, you can find the same ads by yourself without paying a fee.

If you are referring to a job posting on this board called MedEDocs, they have the same posting on the other board but their E-mail address is different. I would go to the other board and apply. I think you would avoid the "middle man" and your E-mail would reach the actual company who posted the job.

already did that too.... thanks.. nm. - anon

actually I think they are legit - clauser

I had applied to this company awhile back. I got an email that said the $75 was a one-time fee that covered certain things like background check, and I got one followup phone call from a very nice sounding lady (she left a message, she was American by the way) who encouraged me to complete the application and choose one of the jobs they had available. I posted here at the time asking about it and one person I recall did reply to my post saying she had worked happily for them for five months. I can't remember anything else.

here's their website if you want to look - clauser

personally I do not think it is "legit" to place a $75 fee just to be able to "view" job listings, where the jobs themselves may be "old" as another person suggested, and also not legit. Background checks should not constitute a charge to the job seeker. As another poster also stated, these jobs can most likely be found elsewhere on the internet for "free," and just because the jobs are listed on this placement site, does not mean you get to just "choose" which one you want and it's yours. You still have to "apply," most likely "test" if you even get that far, just like any other company that is seeking an MT. This is almost like that MTRecruiters place. I can do my own job search and not pay someone else $75 for something that may not even be "real." I don't have that kind of money to just hand over to someone else for nothing. Thanks, but no thanks.

Does anyone know anything about this company? I sent my resume and got a response right away. It seems like they might be a 'head hunting' agency for transcription of different sorts. They want me to pay a one time fee of 75.00 to join and then have contact with all of their clients for jobs. I'm a little leery about them, so what does eveyone think? Any thoughts are appreciated - positive or negative..... Thanks! ...

Independent Contractor Means "independent" Contractor - Sm
Oct 22, 2014

I am so tired of these companies hiring for an IC position and then when you are not at your keyboard johnny on the spot at 11 a.m. every day to start your day and sometimes start at 12 p.m. or 12:30 p.m., they are calling your cell, sending threatening E-mails.  They never stipulated in their contract that if you say, per se, you are going to work 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and you start a little later, say 12 p.m. and work until the work is completed still getting getting the work completed well w ...

Comma Placement?
Apr 27, 2012

I get these types of sentences constantly and always question my comma placement. "We will see her back in the office following her injection and if she does not improve, we would consider surgical intervention at that time." My question is whether there should be a comma either before or after "and." I know a comma needs to separate 2 independent clauses but the introductory phrase in the second clause throws me off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) ...

Remote Scribes
Jun 24, 2013

We all know the frustration in dictation where they don't use a pause button, how our salaries dwindle to nothing as a result.  I noted an ad on the Job Seeker's Board to train to become a "remote scribe" for .07 to .08 CPL.  Doesn't it seem this would also dwindle to nothing as it seems there would be far more waiting for data to enter and would take forever to complete a line if you are working in real time.  Anyone have any info on how this would work? ...
