Does anyone have any info on Uscribe? They called me out of the blue and wanted to test me. I looked in the archives, but the info there is very limited.

No personal knowledge but they had an ad on Job Seekers in February of 2011 - Wonder if anyone was hired back then

Maybe not so “out of the blue.” Did you happen to reply to their job ad on the Job Seeker’s Board from early February of 2011? If this is the same company – out of Florida?

At any rate, if this is the same company, they were looking to hire 40 new MTs. Wonder why they are going directly to contacting MTs instead of posting again on the Job Seeker’s Board?

Either they did not get enough qualified applicants the first time, or the MTs they hired 6 weeks ago are leaving and they don’t want the same people applying again. Makes you wonder if there is a problem at that company.

Back in February of 2011, they were offering Independent Contractor status – 7 cents per line and 3 cents for speech recognition editing.

If you talk to them, make sure you ask lots of questions.

Just wanted to see if anyone has worked for Uscribe and get some feedback, what I saw was mixed, thinking of applying, but not sure about this company since I've never heard of them and if they are new, offshore presence, etc. I just want to have plenty of work and be left alone to do my work and make a living and cannot seem to find a company that will offer enough work to make a living wage. Anyone currently working for Uscribe on this Ireland/UK account? I am and for 8 cpl these people are dreaming and they don't give you your line count until the end of the pay period so you have no idea how much money you are making on a daily basis. My current CCM is one of the best of the many I've had. I had previously worked with her on this account from1999 until we were sold to MQ in 2005; she is my 6th or 7th CCM here at MedQuist. So what is there to know about OSI before I make a life-changing decision? Minimum line count for FT? Approximate cpl for a "very experienced" MT, for straight typing; cpl for VR?
