There is no work. You're right about working 3 hours in an 8-hour day. It's been like this for months.

What I fear the most is losing my benefits because I am unable to produce the required lines needed to maintain full-time status.

OMG. How long have you been with them? I have been with them 3-1/2 years and my friend 5 years. We/I never ran out of work, worked as much as I wanted, overtime etc. then all of a sudden a month ago lost my main account and since then have had no work. I understand I can sign up for unemployment as it is the same as being unemployed.

I have been with DTS for over 2 years. After switching to VR a few months ago, my primary account is always running out of work. (Before VR, the work was nonstop.) Many work types are being done elsewhere (in-house, another company, another country). I don't pull in work on my secondary account very often. Don't know how the pools are set up on that one. Of course, management would never tell us what is really going on. I requested another backup account, but was denied. If I do lose my benefits, I will definitely look into unemployment.

I am sure benefits will go next, after all they get a production report each pay cycle and if we do not meet the minimum lines we are to be warned and I think after 2 pay periods we stand to lose our benefits. I asked if I could sign up for unemployment but no answer yet. They must pay into it.

No work. Could not make line count (was not far off though). Switched to part time and lost ALL benefits. Do not take into consideration there is no work. They don't care. Worked there 2 years.

Even though no work, NO WORK, line count close to mandated amount, but said to go part time. Do not take into account no work, days off, etc.

To nick714, it looks like we have 2 different threads going on! You asked if I had contacted my supervior about the lack of work . . . I emailed my account manager, and she said I should have enough work between my primary and secondary accounts. When I emailed management asking for another backup account, I was told no.

DTS DTS America. Started 1 year ago. Radiology. Work "disappearing"-- about one month, as Nick714 said. A similar thing happened at my previous MTSO, which was a solid, medium-sized company. Incredibly busy, constantly asking everyone to work O/T for about a year straight--only to impress new company buyer for acquisition, to demonstrate they provided 10-minute TAT. Won't mention who bought that MTSO...bad news. Anyone else on DTS (DTS America)?

I think DTS is in deep financial trouble. I was employed there over 5 years and just called also and told that my job was terminated effective immediately. No explanation other than "lack of work." Pretty unethical behavior in my opinion.

They just called you up and fired you just like that? I work there too and sit for 12 to 15 hours a day just trying to get even 800 lines lately. They're making sure I don't make my min to keep my beenfits. This will be my second pay period in a row, which means part time.

What happened? I work there too, and have been getting but harrassed in the few months with sitting hours during my shift with no work at all, while others are working like crazy. They gave me some crap and told me that it's the client's decision on who works and who doesn't... BULL

Did you see the new policy changes too? Virtually no vacation at all for 2010.

I never run out of work, as a matter of fact, they call me almost daily to work extra. I've never had any problems with them, I do my job and do it well and they leave me alone. The only ones I ever hear from are the help desk, and again, it is always to work extra. They often send e-mails offering OT for certain accounts that tend to get backed up quite often. I had applied to transcriptionamerica.com. I received an email back from a Nancy Lawson, National recruiter asking me to transcribe a sample file. I did this and when I tried to email it back to the address that she sent it from, I keep getting a failed delivery notice saying that the person's inbox is full. I heard through the grapevine that there are mandatory company meetings at DTS America today, but haven't gotten any email regarding this. Is this bad for me not knowing or bad for the ones that do? During a company buyout it is always fearful to get an email with a company meeting because, from what I have heard in the past, that is when you get the layoff. Any info appreciated! ...
