I was really interested in the position that you had until I read that you pay $.07/line with NO SPACES. It honestly sounds like some great work that I would love to do, but unfortunately your pay is too low and doesn't include spaces. Good luck!

I applied. It is no ESL and no set schedule. - paid every week - loving it - I hope they hire me!

You best do some research on MedTrans of America.... lots and lots of posts in the archives about people not getting paid for the work they did...

about nonpayment, right? Yeah, okay...will wait to see you whine on here about not getting paid by them after you've worked your bottom off. Many times a company is known as the shortcut not the whole company. Best heed the advice and research some more!!!

I understand where you think not paying for spaces would matter but if the work is easy clinic and she pays every week it might be worth it to someone looking for that type of work. Not every MT needs to make 10 or 11 cpl working acute care, ESL dicators on second shift which is what is being offered to some if they are lucky to even be offered 10 cpl at this time.

I have been looking for a job for about 2 weeks now and have been offered 7 cpl on an account that was 98% ESL. I am not kidding. I have had about 6 offers and the highest offer I have had with 9 years experience is 7.5 cpl. For me, not paying for spaces is a huge deal. You take any document that you have typed in Word and it will tell you what the totals are with and without spaces, and it makes a huge difference.

But in these times, I guess you have to take the good with the bad. If it is worth it to someone to have that flexible of a schedule as this company does, then it would be perfect for that person.

It seems expectations are high, yet the pay has dropped. I was just trying to put a spin on things by stating that I did apply for this job only because it seems flexible, clinic work which should be easier than jumping around from account to account and doing acute care. Then again, I specialize in clinic, so I guess for me it is more of a viable option.

I just think that honestly MTs are so quick to put up a bad name for a company just simply because they see the pay only and not the other variables to the position.

In the case of Medtrans of America it seems they are getting a bad rap for some other company with a similar name.

Last but not least, I would love to be paid weekly! I would love, love, love it! LOL ;D

It also helps to get the guess work over quickly as to whether or not you are going to get paid by a company. Instead of working for 3 weeks to a month, depending on when you come into the pay period, only to find out, guess what? they are scammers who don't pay.

I understand what you mean about companies getting a bad name due to pay without weighing in other options. I know pay has dropped tremendously, but to have it drop cpl and then to add no spaces, that is too much for me and my pocketbook unfortunately. I would honestly consider 7 cpl for some easier work, instead of acute care, but the thought of no spaces, wow that is a hard one for me to swallow. LOL. :)

If you want to beat the fact that they do not pay for spaces into the ground, then go for it. Me? I would much rather be employed.

I see ads for Medtrans all over the internet for all different cities and you go to their website and it seems they are pushing you to take their course and then they will hire you. I am just confused because I keep seeing the companies advertise for months, yet they seem to say "no" a lot. I have 12 yrs experience in acute care, radiology, and clinic, and it's amazing to me how for some reason it seems impossible to pass these tests. Is it just me? ...

I see their ad all of the time and I always fall for it and apply. But all they are is recruiters selling their "course". Yet their ads state they are 'hiring'. I'm about at the end of my rope. Services need expereinced MTs. Yet, I can't get hired to get the experience. I have networked myself to every doctor office I see locally but no one calls. Yes, many may think I am nuts especially after already graduating from an accredited college with a specialized diploma in MT(and paying the student loans for it) but I am at the end of my rope. Nance at MedTrans told me that they hire their graduates and that if I work for them for 6 months, I get the program fee back. If anyone has any feedback, good or bad, please, I would appreciate it. I never run out of work, as a matter of fact, they call me almost daily to work extra. I've never had any problems with them, I do my job and do it well and they leave me alone. The only ones I ever hear from are the help desk, and again, it is always to work extra. They often send e-mails offering OT for certain accounts that tend to get backed up quite often.
