If you were working for a national, and making less than minimum wage, but had plenty of work and basic health insurance, would you take a per-diem inhouse job that paid 5 times what you were making now, but had no benefits, and meant a very long commute? Our local hospital has a new position for HIM Clerk to review medical reports for accuracy. This pays twice what I was making as an editor for a service. I am pleased to say I have found an open door to a job opportunity that is outside of MT work. It is a job that will utilize my experience in healthcare and my medical terminology. Anyone ever get fired from Amphion for not meeting line requirements? I work for them FT or more as needed and have yet to make the 12,000 line requirement.
