If you Google them they do have a web site. They are in Clackamas, OR. O/W don't know anything about them. There are testimonials from (alleged) MTs on the site.
I guess I should check into that too! - Since I am in Tigard, Oregon.

I worked for Advanced for a short period of time on a part-time basis. They are very nice people and had plenty of work, especially for part-time. The only con that I have was the platform. I found it to be extremely cumbersome, there were appointment lists to go by and you were responsible for filling in demographics, switching between screens, etc., which was time consuming. The accounts that I was on were very easy. It was very easy to meet their required line count (I believe it was 1800 a week for part-time) but I, like everyone else, needed more and because of the platform it was taking just too much time away from my family and ultimately just not worth it for me. I also believe that it took a really long time to receive my first check.
Again, great folks, easy accounts (for me), very flexible with the schedule, just a pain in the behind platform. :)
Good luck!!
Thanks! How long ago did you work for them? nm - sosmt

I've been on a lot of platforms in the last 4 years and Iscriptor is certainly not the worst I've been on. I agree, having to enter demographics is annoying, but to me its relative because the accounts I've been on at Advanced were easy, pay is on time, and they don't micromanage.
You can email me if you have other questions. Good luck!

Do I need business liability insurance to count as an IC?
Do I have to register a DBA or can I just file taxes as a sole proprietorship without DBA and still count as an IC?
Do I have to advertise my IC services and/or work for a second client to prove to the state that I'm an IC, or can I just work for you only?
Do I have the authority to hire/fire people to help me (and following with HIPAA rules what must I do there)?

I know a long time ago these boards were full of people bashing Prescyse. I thought they were in Atlanta or something? Anyway, I just found a job listing for Precyse in Salem, Oregon. Does anyone know if this is the same company? Anything good or bad about them?
Thanks!

I would appreciate any input anyone may have on these 3 companies. I have tried to find out about them through their local BBB, but only Net Med Transcription has anything on it. Thanks. ...
Just trying to get info on both companies. Don't see much when I search. Anyone work for either of these and can give me more info would be appreaciated. ...
A legal contact was inquiring about the connection of medical mistakes related to off-shored transcription mistakes. I have told him to review these boards and hopefully he will benefit from the information here.
While he did not discuss the exact case, I think that he will be able to use the off-shore transcription issue to his client's benefit or at least highlight that the provider in question does not have as rigorous control on processing records as other pr ...
I have been offered a position with both. I have; however, in the past, had a position where the employer still owes me $6000. Does United pay and have the work? Does Nuance have enough work for me? I need full time work guaranteed income, like everyone else. Good luck to all out there! ...
Would someone explain to me how is that this company can legally pay us a lower rate for ASR compared to transcription? After they pushed ASR on me, (said that I wouldn't ever get a 50:50 ratio of ASR to transcription) I am getting mostly ASR work. My pay has dropped significantly. Can they do this? ...
I have an interview tomorrow morning with this company, and I was wondering how they are to work for (i.e. work load, pay on time, platform, etc.).
