Okay, let's sum it up:

1. Imedx hid information on losing more than one account for months, this is a fact.

2. Number one above is confirmed by Imedx having an acct going to EPIC, and a few days later 3 accounts that we "do not have access to anymore" as stated by manager.

3. Number two above did not say we lost, or Nuance took back, etc., just "no access."

4. In other words, work shifted to cheaper folks, we get that.

5. Lack of any emails in 2 weeks regarding what is going on is absolutely proof positive they are holding their breaths and doing major changes behind the scenes.

6. When HR people leave, like MN a few months ago, like I have seen before, that is the beginning of the end actually. I know this for a fact as I have worked in HR and new when changes were going on because things get weird, very weird, in HR area with mucho changes.

7. Managers, supervisors, fellow MTs, suits, anyone from Imedx can find unique ways to tell us directly things but choose not to do so. Decades ago when I was in HR I always told folks they were getting the pink slip before they got it, I just made that my personal policy, and mission. Especially since the Controller was a Bioschhhhh, and most going to be fired folks were just pawns and did not deserve to have their life turned inside out. Yeah, I could have been fired, but my job did not trump multiple families about to be knocked around hard.

8. At the end of February, in less than 2 weeks, major, major changes will be occuring with Imedx. I have NO information on this, but I have decades of knowing how these things play out. I will get people who will say this is scare tactics, but many of you have come back apologizing for anti-Imedxers who have suggested their accounts will be affected one day too, only to have that happen.

9. The main thing with Imedx is WHAT THEY ARE NOT SAYING, that is very concerning. That means they are thinking of every little thing about you.

10. They always tinker with every little department and incentive, etc., and we have seen proof of this in the past. So, now we are at the point we go until there is no work, we are locked out, or however they will play this out.

11. I usually dont go too nuts, but Imedx, in my assessment, has left themselves very, very vunerable to civil suits. There will be many former TT suits who will be happy to vent their spleens when they get canned last and will be happy to provide or have depositions regarding tactics behind the scene. I know a company can ruin itself without getting sued, but I also know that tell lies, misleading, re-directing, and other gray areas are not looked upon as just a whim of business practice, those are punishable beyond Labor Boards, they will possibly be reviewed by 12 jurors who see a very bad company with deep pockets who hurt not just a few, but dozens, if not hundreds, of employees. 

Now we are at the point of just watching the ship go down and seeing what we will do. Sad, isn't it? But I wont let this go even after I leave, as bullies need to be confronted, and in Imedx's case, that will be lawsuit.

God, all I wanted to do was work, go figure?

then why do you say TWO WEEKS? Just curious as there was a post during the week that virtually said the same thing, about it being the one year mark of the takeover, which is in about two weeks.

Its just a pattern that you have seen in the past? and when they cut off incentive then it is TWO WEEKS? or a bunch of accounts go MIA and then it is TWO WEEKS?

Just curious what makes you think it is TWO WEEKS as opposed to June 1 or July 15 or something. I just wish someone DID have concrete info for us so we knew.

I am not going to be looking for another MT job, so I would just like to KNOW as this all involves a physical geographic move for me.

I wish someone higher up with knowledge would set up a fake email on a public computer so as not to be identified and then tell us on here what is going on. I'd be forever grateful to them.

I think people are using the 2-week time frame (March) because that will be exactly a year that IMEDX/TT merged and they are assuming a lot of contracts will expire then... Me, personally, not worried. We take this risk working for ANY company, unfortunately, and they all handle it the same (for their own protection).. When I was a supervisor, the upper management were always concerned of people jumping ship early if ample notice was given and also, concerned of people sabotaging their system out of anger.. the way the economy is, no one never knows if they will have a job tomorrow, next week, etc... just take it day by day.. it always works itself out.

You do realize after this, many of us will never work in this field, right? - ?

This will be my last stop on this crazy train. Do you realize after decades I will now start from scratch doing other stuff? I will no longer keep going with this kind of work.

I agree..Unfortunately, it just seems like some how, some way, every company ends up giving us the shaft or paying us minimum wage. I feel you because I have been doing this 20 years, myself.. I am trying to get an office job, at least it will have more stability and better pay - however, some have special situations where they have to work from home. Also, going to look into billing and coding. Sad to say, I don't feel safe anymore.

Well, when the merger took place didn't we get an e-mail tha said nothing would change? The reason why Imedx bought TT was for their business model? Well, let's see did anything change? Yep. What business model here is nothing that remotely resembles TT and how they operated a MTSO. TT was the last honest to goodness, great company until they sold us all down the river for a buck! What bothers me is a company with no moral compass that will literally take the food off the table of American workers, something just not right about that. And if someone wonders about HR take a look at the HR person's credentials? Krystal Corporation and Ryder Truck Lines, REALLY? What qualifies someone that has worked for a hamburger chain and a rental trucking company to be the HR person at an MTSO?

I had a lot of experience as an HR rep before I got into the MT business. I could certainly communicate better and not come off sounding like such a biotsh.

I can guarantee you 100% that most folks visiting this site have never, ever ever been treated so horribly as with this field. I have worked numerous jobs, but never so many evil people at the top working to hurt us. I dont think some of you get it, we have bills to pay, this is a full time job. We are not rich. We are treated unfairly and are very undeserving of it but what can we do - I am broke, lost my house, car, etc... but I have decided I am not going to let something I cannot control, make me sick... We are good, hard workers and will eventually get what we deserve, in transcription or not... that is what I know...

Well based on my experience as of 2/11 I would say you are probably not far off base. I was laid off after 2 years with TransTech working on the WM account and multiple others due to "lack of work" I was told I was not the only one. When I asked the criteria for decided this, I was told it was those people working on the accounts they were losing. In other words, most likely TransTech people. I was told they would give me a good recommendation, it was nothing I had done and I would be eligible for re-hire if things picked up, but not holding my breath. Such a shame. I was so happy with TransTech

My primary account has been very slow recently, slower than I've ever seen it. It took me forever to finish work today because of the big blocks of time with nothing to be done. I hope it picks up, not prepared yet to lose the job completely. Trying to get house ready to sell & get something smaller & cheaper simply because I know eventually this place will be way too much money each month. Sorry for what you just went through. I hope you're able to find something else quickly.

I had not heard that anyone had been laid off yet. (I wonder how many of you there were. Someone said once if people are laid off that they would be swarming to this site to clue us in, but it doesn't seem to be the case.) I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do. Hopefully, it will be a profession that treats you better and ends on a happier note.

I resigned from TT/IMEDX on Feb. 4th although my i-mail had not been received until Feb. 5th due to i-mail system crash. My primary account for the last 1-12 years had been WM, and I resigned basically due to lack of work for the past 3 days prior to my resignation. I know of another MT friend on WM who also resigned the same day I did. I received a phone call on Feb. 6th from another co-worker/friend telling me she had been laid off that morning. After talking to her, I did some investigation of my own, and discovered that there had been a list of MT lay-offs, just like hers (cannot reveal my sources), but this is a FACT, not hearsay. I also know that another group of MTs had been laid off on Feb. 8th. I have not followed up on these lay-offs, but you can just bet that there have been even more lay-offs this past week. Some MTs are just hanging on by the skin of their teeth, with very little or no work at all, just waiting to be laid off. My point is that, yes, there have been MANY LAY-OFFS.

many times. Sort of weird, in fact, but there is just a point you know that business is going to close, that job is going to disappear. I have never been completely surprised, and almost always made arrangements just ahead of the storm....as I have this time. I just woke up one day and said, it's time, this just isn't working out right, and I was one who thought things were going okay with the merger 3-4 months ago.

I think that's what they wanted... make you think the dust from the merger had settled and that all of our jobs were safe. In the last 3-4 months, like you, I had ample work to make a great paycheck, and then Poof!... it was gone. I hate this company. If ever I could pray for ill will towards something, it would be imedx and especially the a-holes at TTMS who sold us up the river to make a buck. We were the #1 KLAS company and went from that - to this crap we're dealing with now. It seems that every time I've been with a company that was rated #1 KLAS over the last 10-15 years, that company has been bought out by Nuance, iMedX, etc.

Doesn't matter anymore. I finally, after looking for a solid year, found something that isn't transcription work - and my arse is outta here as soon as that job starts.

I personally cannot sit around and wait to be laid off, fired, etc., and then claim unemployment, but omg, I hope a lot of other people do. I hope those who can wait it out, will do so until they can claim UE. My prime objective right now is to keep my car and my house, which I won't be able to do if I stay here waiting it out, so I already have another job. I'm leaving the MT world to live out my final decade before retirement in a job that doesn't give me stress or uncertainty. I would recommend everyone else do the same. It's only going to get worse.

And like the OP, all I've wanted to do for over two decades in this business was work, make a decent living, and enjoy my family. In the last 10-15 years, I've not had any of that. My kids have grown up while I've sat at my PC working 24/7... waiting for work, working off my shift, changing jobs because of BUYOUTS... you get the picture. This business has me very, very angry. I went to school for this. I've had great jobs with great benefits and then it all started changing, and at that point, I really had no other alternatives. The cost of childcare alone would have made me bankrupt working outside of the home. I had no clothes to get an office job, my car was a piece of junk and I couldn't afford another... I've been a prisoner to this life for way too long. I don't know if I can make it another few weeks before my new job starts... I'm just so ready to be done with this HUGE chapter in my life.

If  you woke up this morning with several hundred jobs out of TAT on a major account for IMEDX, you should not be surprised. I work for a company whose initials are TTS.  I was told that QA works on editing and transcribing too and QA has the ability to assign work to themselves.  In other words not only do they take work away from the MT but they can choose which work/dictators they want to do.  Isn't this a conflict of interest?   I know other companies do not allow double dipping but it was confirmed to me TTS does this and that the QA people have the ability to pick and cho ...

Does anyone else run into this? I get all these major error reports from Fiesa, all of a sudden, one after another, with errors that I know, after 15 years of doing this job, I would not have made. I know with certainty that these errors would not escape me.  Anyone else get this kind of BS? ...

Thought I was going to make it through today with no Major error but no such luck.  I typed "There are" and they heard "The"  Trust me either way the sentence says the same thing and in no way changes the meaning of the sentence so I get dinged a major error for this.  I really hope these quality people get good bonuses for these type things.  Just another major error to add to my very long list.  More in the last 2 weeks then in my entire career of being a transcription ...

There is no consistency in the grading of reports.  And again I say, this is a subjective error...someone heard it, I did not and it does not matter anyway.  Doctors do not dictate complete sentences all the time. This just tops of my bad day.  I get on to check previous reports from yesterday and see 1 correction on 1 report out of all of them.  QA filled in my blank, and the error category is "major" with subcategory "not applicable."  Platform is Cornerstone.  Since when is it a major error to leave a blank for something we aren't sure about?  After listening, again, I still can't tell if it is the word QA put in or the word I thought it "might" be; hence, the blank.& ...

Never in the last year have I ever ever gotten 4 major errors in one report, I don't think I have ever gotten 4 in 3 or 4 months.  They will never be able to convince me that something hasn't changed.  I am being marked off for things that are completely ridiculous and some I don't think I even did.  Wow - what a way to start my day - makes me really want to work hard for them.  ...

Compare job numbers to those jobs that come back with major errors.  Want to bet that most of those jobs we have a hard time with are the very same jobs that we are getting marked down for?  Most likely the very blank or the very problem we had is what the major error is for. ...
