I believe most MTs are speaking of their own experiences and not degrading anyone. For those who chose to stay with this job, sobeit, but for the ones who feel frustrated and don't know what to do, there are people who have gotten out and pass that along to others.
As always someone has to speak out against people who have moved on. Good for you if you're happy and have a good job (which I doubt), that is your choice just like the ones who have left.
