The people who are helpful get drowned out by the bitterness.
Don't get me wrong. As we all know, we as MTs had something special - loved our job, soaked up knowledge because not only are we smart but we enjoyed it, and those, like me, who started in the "good old days" 70s/80s had doctors who appreciated when we caught their mistakes.
But this board started as a way to help every one while sharing resources. This bizarre mean response "look it up" "I won't help you" "do your own research" - What?! This board IS the research. People who come here have looked into other avenues, and then come here to hopefully get some helpful information.
If you are bitter (I get it), then dont' answer, vent somewhere else. But you would be so much more helpful if you kindly say, this industry was ruined by greedy middlemen who offshored work, promised hospitals that voice recognition would save them money (but left us to fix the gibberish when we could straight type it twice as fast, etc), and have no idea why dysphagia and dysphasia can be a life-threatening typo.
