You could have started with other jobs are available from home, then it would not have seemed like you were simply being nosy lol I can see both sides of this, but while it's true there are other remote jobs, it is often difficult to get one and MT ends up being the old standby. When I've applied for those other jobs, usually I'm up against thousands of other applicants, many of whom have the exact experience they're looking for while my experience is all MT. So I just keep on trying but have to do MT until then so I have some income, albeit crappy. I imagine the other poster is likely in same position.
