It was for another company, no longer in business, that was paying .09 and I asked for .0.12. They told me they couldn’t pay that, basically laughed at me, and I moved on. Asking for more is worth a try, but you will probably get the same answer I did. Experience doesn’t seem to matter anymore. It makes sense to get paid all that you can, to start, because there are never going to be any raises.
