The idea has been stirred up multiple times over many years.
Mainly, nobody's got money to back this up. Nobody can afford to stop working long enough for a strike to do any real good. Nobody's got money to throw at a campaign and keep it going. Years ago it could have made a difference, but now it's way too late for anything.
But you're more than welcome to go ahead and try, see how far it gets.
