reasons by Canadian transcription will never and could never make enough money to live on. In the U.S., we expand a lot of abbreviations. Our doctors aren't TRYING to make up new abbreviations. It doesn't help medical care if no one knows what anyone else is talking about. Also, the lockdowns in Canada crucified my last two years of income. Like you, I'm leaving medical transcription. I have two other projects going on that will replace it. But even if I was going to stay, I would never, ever do a Canadian account again. It dropped my income by about 20%.
