I haven't gone into the bank in years. All of my banking is done electronically. I always deposit my checks with my iPhone on our credit union's app. You just use your phone's camera to take a picture of the check, enter the amount, and tap the deposit button. It clears within an hour. Every bank and credit union has this feature these days, so as long as you have a smartphone, you don't need to make a trip to the bank to deposit a check. You can do it from literally anywhere and at any time, day or night. However, I am still very glad that WWD is no longer my full-time job and that my "new" full-time job (started 4 months ago) has direct deposit on the 5th and 20th of the month.
