Think about it. December 24 was Christmas Eve and if the checks were mailed on the 24th they sat there because the post office was closed the 25th as were the banks. There was.no mail delivery that day or the following day, which was Sunday, which brings us to Monday the 27th. Some businesses observed the 24th as their holiday and were closed. If you had your check, you wouldn’t have been able to get to the bank anyway. I don’t think it was anyone’s fault and I don’t think anyone did anything wrong, it was probably due to the holiday occurring on a weekend and possibly the weather or a backlog at the post office. If you were this concerned, you could have tried to get in touch with your manager or your payroll department.
