Good luck..and I'll add it to my list - sleepymt

I'm constantly looking for "new" jobs that could use my skillset. I was always under the impression (and told repeatedly by DS, occupational specialists, etc) that my skills would be useful in many other jobs besides MT. That hasn't been true for the past year and a half. I am seeing more and more that I need an English or Linguistics degree for transcription, data entry certificate or degree, 10+ yrs as an MT, in-hospital experience, etc. I have a degree, training but not enough or not the right degrees that apparently are needed now. As much as I love school and learning, I can't afford rent let alone school. I'm not sure why this change for more degrees, etc is occurring.

I will look into jobs like this one. It seems really difficult, especially with codes and such, but I'm open to anything to be paid a living wage, employee position preferably, and for someone to just give me a chance.

I wish you success in this new position and keep us posted on how you're doing!
