Nothing changed from my employee position to my IC position, just the status. I certainly have nothing at tax time that benefits my status as an IC a great deal. I mean really not a lot to claim being an IC to help lower my taxes. I'm working at home as an IC just as I did as an employee. Sure I take the usual deductions, but when you're really an employee, there aren't that many deductions to claim.
