General question about motivation: I consider myself - a veteran of the MT profession,

Posted: Feb 5th, 2020 - 12:53 pm

but this last year (I am 55  years old), I have noticed that I am burned out more than usual and it has become a slog to sit my hiney down and type all day.  What do you do to stay on task and keep from getting bored and/or burned out?

I have a long way to go before I can retire early.  I have almost reached the 30-year mark for being an MT.  I currently have a great job but I am an IC and the daily pressure is always there to produce, be fast and perfect, and earn enough to pay the bills... as you all well know.  I am pooped.

I am interested in what you do to keep your mind from wandering during your shift.

Thanks.
