for now to avoid all the employees jumping ship and leaving KS and the hospital stranded.
I've seen this happen before; the hospital or clinic makes a major decision to outsource and the managers are told to keep their mouth shut while it's all going on and we the MTs are simply told in regard to any rumors "if we knew anything we'd tell you."
BS. Management can't make a move like that without HR or Legal approval and they know everything.
I've been thru that and told that exact same excuse or a version of it in regard to outsource rumors at 3 different places in the past.
But if you, retiring manager, had any decency at all, would put yourself in the MT's place for a few minutes, you would tell them what's going on somehow if at all possible.
