The only thing positive about being scribe would be to get your foot in the door at an office or hospital and gain experience and go somewhere else with your experience. Since we're being real, you know very well, an on-site scribe will be the one covering phones for lunches, answering questions from patients, sitting in the front office in between patients, etc. That's the only good I can see from going in-house as a scribe; the experience. Then, run with it. Actually, I'd probably offer to answer phones and mingle in the front office and learn new things.
I've found my dream job outside MT. It's not medical at all. I love it. It's in an office, but I feel like myself again and I haven't felt this good in a very long time. The stress of MT really took a toll on me. I no longer have the pressures of it and I'm feeling fantastic. It helps that I'm making way more money, too.
