We're getting so much crap thrown at us, it's amazing that we get anything done. With account specs being different from one account to another, and most if not all of us working on several accounts, it's nearly impossible to keep them straight. We get dinged for silly little formatting errors, when we really have to focus on accurately transcribing what the dictator is actually saying. All of the persnickety little account specs make using the Book of Style a joke. Why bother telling us to use it, then basically tell us in the specs not to use it, because there are so many exceptions? And that's before we even get to the quality of dictation, and the near poverty level pay.
