MModal technology side was bought by 3M, who apparently was not interested in the service side. The service side split off and became known as AQuity. We are now a vendor using MModal products to provide transcription and coding to the same clients we had before, and presumably bringing in new clients as we always have, some of which, unfortunately, are still being offshored (to AQuity/India) if the client is ok with offshoring, or IC’d out (by AQuity now) to smaller US vendors. We have an exclusive contract with MModal/3M for a certain number of years though I’m not sure what it involves. So technically we are a vendor with an exclusive contract with MModal/3M.
