An editing job that should take 5-10 minutes ends up being straight transcription with about 36 blanks for a very short H and P that takes about 45 minutes or so. That seems to be what I'm averaging per report on every report since I moved to the new group.
There are 2 hospitals that are just horrid. Not a single clear dictator in the entire group. Plus, you can't put a QA note to make them aware of the poor dictation. I really don't understand the mindset.
If I can't hear it, I'm not going to guess. QA doesn't even seem to be able to fill in all the blanks either. Annnnddd...my PM doesn't care so...*sigh* It's really messed up. I don't remember it ever being this bad.
