although you know the prior company and probably are comfortable working there, a new MT unfamiliar with companies requiring VDI and contract would be extremely hesitant, and probably unwilling to buy a new computer.
With all the nonpaying and late paying MTSOs of late, I'm VERY hesitant to get started with an unknown company, much less buy a new computer and sign that VDI contract.
