forgive federal student loans. In that case, you and I and other taxpaying people will end up paying them. Is that what you want? To pay off other people's loans? No one held a gun to their heads and forced them to take more than they could pay back.

If the government is going to pay back the private loans no one should have been stupid enough to take, then they had better be paying off my mortgage first along with the mortgages of everyone else who will be on the hook to pay for those loans.

Those students took out the loans to get useless degrees, attend expensive schools they didn't need to go to for those useless degrees, and now they want the taxpayers to pay for all of that.

No. Just no. They signed the papers, let them live up to their obligations.
